Try Bing then. Best of both worldsgotta try to compete with google's recent updates. I find google much better being tied to the web with updated data.
Uk here, installed on my iPhone 13Not available in the UK.
Same here. Europe.
True, I didn’t know that Android is a country.
Why not roll it out worldwide? Or at least the US and the EU? ChatGPT web service is available in the EU, so it cannot be a GDPR issue.Starting with the most important market makes sense. In the coming months/years, it will be rolled out to more countries
Seems like a good app but I seem to be having trust issues with this App. Personal data to be specific..
Not sure what to do about that.![]()
I deleted it when it asked for my phone number. That’s too much info.
It most important because it used American culture and target audience to develop it. Why release it in <insert country name here> first?“Most important market” 😂 you guys drink your own koolaid over there don’t ya.
It uses the internet to learn. Not America. It’s teaches itself using the English language. Also not American. It’s an American company is all. That’s doesn’t make America “the most important market”. It makes sense it launches first in the us due to it being a us company. That’s all. By no means ‘must’ America be its most important market, and by no means is America automatically the most important market. Heads stuck in arses don’t make it so.It most important because it used American culture and target audience to develop it. Why release it in <insert country name here> first?
How are those apps fake? Do they fail to do something they promised they could do? Are they claiming that they are the official ChatGPT app? ChatGPT has an official API which these apps use. I don't see how they are illegitimate. If someone creates a mapping app using the Google Maps API or a Reddit app using the Reddit API no one bats an eye.But Apple web that their App Store is curated and highly screened, so fake apps never reach the end user! 🙄
The article says U.S.A. Only
I am so pissed that android doesn't get those great apps
Ios gets way more love
Probably you blocked some phone numbers in the past, and OpenAI is trying to use one of those numbers so send you the code. Just go to Settings --> Phone --> Blocked Contacts and try to unblock as many numbers as you can. This happened to me in the past with some websites too. In my country, phone numbers used to send codes are five-digit numbers, so to solve my issue I just unblocked all five-digit numbers from the Blocked Contacts list.I can't set it up because it wants to text me a code to verify my account but I never get the text and there's no way to have them send an automated call instead...
This is sad . I cannot rejoice of apple "accomplishment" in any way tbh . Apple is in a position that allows them to have the better apps . Sure they provide good API, but they are mostly Lucky that devs and users are willing to invest on their platforms (be it time or money)Rejoice in this quote from Eric Schmidt (chairman of Google) from 2011:
One Android-toting audience member said he was frustrated to see iOS apps beating Android versions to market. But in part because of Ice Cream Sandwich, "my prediction is that six months from now you'll say the opposite," Schmidt said.

Google's Schmidt: Android leads the iPhone
The executive chairman says Android phones outship the iPhone, are cheaper, and now have a better operating system. So why do developers support iOS first?www.cnet.com
