Your fanboy is showing! I totally respected your opinion until you said "I still would not want to be stuck with one of those ugly poor-people-phones." That was totally unnecessary and untrue, considering most Android devices sold cost the same or more than the iPhone. But nice try taking a totally unbiased look at Android.

It's best not to address his so-called "points". He's about as unreasonable as it gets. He has no clue about phones, and only knows iPhone, and hates anything else. I've yet to see him have an intelligent discussion with anyone on here.

I'm gonna confess... I'm getting really tempt with this new Galaxy S3

Do it. It's all fun and games until you can't get an update and you get sick of pulling your battery out because your phone is frozen.

I am waiting for the "iphone 5" if it is not something revolutionary i am gonna change to the best next gen android phone.

Also a known girl in macrummors switched and she is giving a thumbs up. here is her thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1396024/

That's what I'm going to do too... Let's see what the iPhone 5 will offer.

You say that from your own experience?... the S3 freezes a lot?

When does android not need to have the battery pulled out on a regular basis to keep the phone tip top.

I restart my iPhone maybe once a month at best.

We know ios 6 is not offering anything revolutionary, the thing about ios 6 is how smooth it runs but a friend got the nexus and switched to the s3 and both run smoothly and way too fast. The super amoled screen looks way better than the retina display. The freeze up battery thingy was over come a long time ago.

Check flossy carter on youtube he was an iphone lover, he is just honest. I love how my iphone 4s looks but if apple dont do something with the new iPhone like i said there lots of phones equally awesome so people should start choosing what they like most and yeah the mac fan wave will last some years they will outsell every time but apple's time on top sales is running out in the phone division.

Pulling a battery? I hardly ever rebooted my Galaxy Nexus. It was a common occurrence to have uptime of over 800 hours. My Galaxy S3 has yet to be rebooted and we're two weeks in now. I get the feeling you are clueless about what you speak of.

So it doesn't freezes?

It will be an interesting market at the end of the year. New iPhone, all the current favorites and if we're lucky, 5 new Nexus devices.

Fair to say the iPhone will have some real competition this year.

I can't remember the last time I had a phone freeze. These anti-Android guys don't even know anything about the platform. They're just upset because they don't have the best phone out. To answer your question, no it doesn't freeze at all. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even lag at all either.

Pentile AMOLED is great...

...if you like dark, dim, dank, blue stained screens...

And don't pretend the GS3 screen brightness is turned down. It actually looks like that maxed out in browser and general settings.

For one, there is a separate brightness setting in the browser. Secondly, there's also an option for the screen to make automatic adjustments (which include brightness) based on the image displayed on the screen. That, the images on the GS3 look better in that picture even with a difference in brightness. ;)

PS
LCD is great if you like grey blacks :)

Not sure what you did on those pictures but when i compared my iphone 4s to the s3 in real life i was ashamed...

I agree, the GS3 is shameful...

Notice I said the browser setting and general were maxed. I knew that would be an excuse every fandrooler would throw up.

Sorry. Doesn't fly. It was set to maximum.

You forgot something....the automatic image adjustment...
BTW, the iPhone can have a higher maximum brightness, but the GS3 still has a better screen. It's not even close. Compare an HD video on the 4S and the GS3...oh wait...YOU CAN'T...you don't even have the resolution to display an HD video. ;)

+1 and if i said i was ashamed i am the 4s owned and felt ashamed of my phone.

That HD screen is great. Especially if you want everything to look like an episode of the Smurfs.
