Did you purchase your case and screen protector from Apple? When I switched from the 11 to the Pro Apple allowed me to swap my screen protector and case. You could always try and see what they say if you do decide that the Pro Max is too heavy for you.
The case I bought from a company called Mous. I am going to give it a few Fays because I do find the normal pro a little too small in terms of screen, and I have pretty bad eye sight so bigger phones/screens do help me massively!

Up until today, I had the Note 10+, and just purchased an iPhone 11 Pro Max.
From a size perspective, to me, like for like...
What did you do with the Note?

...traded it in...

I just made the switch back to an iPhone 11 Pro Max from the Note 10 plus and I like iPhones but I do kind of miss the Note.

The Note 10+ is actually the first Android I had, traded in for the iPhone, and really missed. If the camera was a little more consistent I’d actually consider going back.

I’ve been wanting to switch to the 11 Pro lately from my XS Max. The XS Max has just been feeling very cumbersome and tiring to me lately. I’ve been taking it out of its case at home and that seems to help a bit, but I’m getting really ready for a change. I just wish I wouldn’t lose so much money by switching.

I have a Samsung Note 10 but I miss apple so will probably buy an iPhone this week and give my note away to a family memeber

I just wanted to ask

Is the Pro Max worth it or should I opt for smaller Pro.
After owning a 6 plus and currently on XS Max, I was thinking of getting an 11 Pro. When I went to Apple, I noticed how small the 11 Pro was. I don't think I can ever go down in size after owning a Plus and a Max.

It's a very good phone and certain things I prefer it to the iPhone. That's the thing with these phones, when you move back, you regret it or miss the other device lol.

Thats the thing
I wish there was a middle ground. The 11 pro is small though, and like you I'm used to large screens having owned the XS Max and Note 10 Plus. I just wish the 11 pro max was slightly lighter. The note 10 plus is the perfect size and weight imo. I had no trouble using it one handed over a long period of time at all.

What color and storage capacity. Does it have apple care ?

You probably won’t be interested, lol but thanks. I already saw that you have the 256gb. I’m on 64gb Midnight Green. I do have Apple Care but it’s monthly payments and can’t be transferred.

I’m probably going to sell mine here and then order on Apple‘a website.

You know, the more and more I see the Midnight Green colours, I sort of wish I purchased one. But, then again, I often have a case on my devices. So, I feel one wouldn’t see the colour anyway...

Ps: with the monthly service for Apple Care, you can transfer it? I know if you pay the one off price, you can ask for a credit, if you trade the device in.

Yeah it’s not bad. I just prefer the Silver. It’s my favorite color by far but decided to go with the new color. Yeah I’m not sure how the Apple Care transfer works and don’t really want to deal with that part, haha.

This forum should also help in your decision.

You just need to get used to it. I also thought that my 8 Plus was too large and chunky at first. After a couple days of using it was fine.

I do not want anything smaller now, atleast not to replace my main device. Next one will be a Max-sized phone, which is the same size as the Plus just all-screen. I guess the Xr/11 would be also something i could use, but the X/Xs/11 Pro is already to small for me now. I cannot understand how some people in these forums want another 4" SE-like iPhone... but to each their own.

I spent the whole day out with the 11 Pro max and I think am getting used to the size

I went from the X to 11 Pro Max. Never had the larger size models before.

You get sooo used to it, that if you pick up your old phone, it’s going to feel like a toy, it’s so small.

After a while you just feel the Pro Max IS the normal size. I get reminded only when I see the smaller one next to it or hold it, that I got a Pro Max. Then I’m glad I did. :D

It is a very personal choice... in my opinion the Max is just too big, and I’m very happy about the Pro. But you were using a Note 10, so your opinion could be different.
did you try it at the Apple Store ?

Off topic but how do you sign out of the apple mail app?

I prefer outlook and want to use that as opposed to the apple mail app but there is no option to sign out or disable it?

Have you tried unchecking mail here? That’s just the iCloud email. Otherwise, go to Amounts and uncheck Mail.

Well, I just visited an Apple Store to try playing with the regular Pro size. It felt awesome at first and then as I kept playing with it, the screen stared to feel smaller and smaller. With my history of downsizing before and then regretting, I think I now feel comfortable keeping my XS Max, thankfully, as that should save me some good money.

Also, this sales rep that came up and talked to me was pushy and somewhat misleading, and it was annoying. Haven’t had an experience like that at Apple before, but I was not a fan.

You’re talking about your iCloud email account right?
I am talking about the mail app for apple that comes preinstalled.
I want to sign out/disable it so I can use outlook as my main email client rather than mail.

Oh perfect. Go to Settings-Password & Accounts

Then click on the account you want to disable emails for and then uncheck “Mail”
