Can you give details on this please.. I'm not sure what value to change I have tried a couple but it hasn't work for me yet.. If u have pics I would appreciated thank you!!!
First upload the new deb file to the iPad and install it using iFile.

Next, open iFile again. Go to the root of the iPad. Then go to the following path:

Library/Mobilesubstrate/Dynamiclibraries/Optimum.plist

Open Optimum.plist and click edit. Change the entry CVCrDVR to Optimum. Save then reboot the iPad.

The app should work.

optimum is far less than optimum

thanks all for the workaround (editing plist file) to get optimum back on the iPad.Who do these idiots think they are ,charging very high rates, then trying to throw a curveball to paid subscribers who simply want to use their iPad.:apple:

Content providers who supply syndicated content must protect that content from theft and reuse.

Since a jail broken device can hijack that content, these applications will be blocked from operation on jail broken devices.

You can expect to see a more difficult restriction to bypass on a future version.

I could not get the deb file to download

First it said I didn't have the path, so I checked and created the "downloads" folder using file.

Went back and tried again and the error message is different - "download failed, could not start saving file"

Any idea what I am doing wrong? Never really used file before..

Thanks

Tell that to the content providers.

We had to test for and deny access to jail broken phones for a customer who delivers syndicated content. We also have to block access from regional IP addresses and VPN servers.

You may not be stealing content, but other jail broken users do, and just lime those who pirate software, they give the rest of you a bad rep.

The optimum.plist file doesn't exist on my iPad 2 in that directory. Where else would it be located?

I cannot find this file on my ipad 2 running 4.3.3 jailbroken.

/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/Optimum.plist

What I see is
/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/myOptimum.plist

The content is

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN"
"http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">

<dict>
<key>Bundles</key>
<array>
<string>com.cablevision.iOTV</string>
</array>
</dict>
</dict>
</plist>

Any ideas folks?

Thank you

I just checked mine:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN"
"http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">

<key>Filter</key>
<dict>
<key>Executables</key>
<array>
<string>Optimum</string>
</array>
</dict>
</dict>
</plist>

Did you install that from the App Store? it looks like its a different version or part of a "Bundle" rather than like mine, an "Executable" thats why the string name is different, thats the name of the app.

i copied the plist file from my iphone and it works on the ipad now. Its the same syntax as your ipad file. Thanks

hey guys... i'm wondering if anyone might know why my VPN client (with EasyVPN) just suddenly stopped working. :/ As far as I know, no settings were changed. i can still connect to the VPN with my iPhone perfectly, but no data can be sent or received once i'm connected, nothing requiring internet connection works.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this? Thanks!!
