Guys. This worked for me 15 hrs ago. But it's not my shipment . Destiination says MI,US not Canada.
I also called 1800apple - they also confirrmed it's not mine. Until it shows up as shipped in apple.ca, we cannot track the item according to them.

What city are you in? Today in Toronto I saw a worldwide express ups van, so i assume the packages travel separately through the vans, and the UPS site shows that is only available in major cities... so maybe it is saying the option isn't available so it would be shipping on the regular ups trucks instead.
this is mine- same as jsh, and is my order, shipping to Victoria- tracked via the order number minus last 2 digits.

I have an exception as well, saying it was downgraded. Since so many people are seeing that, it's probably not a big deal.

Definitely mine. Delivers to Waterloo, ON. Also had to type in my postal code to get it to show up.
The ones showing up now show the correct (at least mine) destination down to my correct city. The info from yesterday was odd, no explanation for that but I would suspect things are in motion now.

I haven't been able to track anything! One of my phones changed to "Prepared for Shipment" at around 3:30 pm PST... but still no information on the UPS website - let alone any changes to my other phone that is still "Processing"

Make sure you don't have spaces in your postal code? Seems to be sensitive to the space.

Wow it looks like a lot of us are on the same flight! This is exciting, since this could mean we get our phones on Friday! At least that's what I'm hoping.
EDIT: I just checked a friend's order, she got the exception on her tracking info saying that the service isn't available, but I didn't. Maybe it really depends on the location it's being sent to? Mine is coming to Kitchener and the tracking looks just fine, and her's is going to Guelph but it's a new housing development area, and the postal code doesn't always come up properly in some systems.

I did it last time too and got Indianapolis from NJ, that was mail innovation though so that might be why. Doing it with regular parcel, it shows correctly China to Toronto with my postal code, so it can't just be a coincidence this time.

For those in BC, I'd imaging it would go directly from Anchorage to GVA.
I just got my official shipment notification from Apple. It says I will receive it Oct. 19. I really hope that's a big over estimate.
Mine too. I ordered a Nano a couple of weeks ago and it ended up being delivered a couple of days before the estimated date. I think there is no chance for Friday, but here is hoping Monday!
I received the same delivery date (Oct. 19th) and my phone, 64gb White 4S, is on the same flight as previously mentioned (1pm out of Shenzen).
I highly doubt it will take until next Wednesday to receive these phones as they have already departed China. I'm going to bet we receive them Friday.
Does anyone know if leaving a signed note will enable the driver to drop the package on my doorstep?
Also, has anyone received an official shipping notification from Apple with a delivery date earlier than the 19th?

I really think it depends on where you live in relation to the dispatch warehouse. Considering the current time and date and the travel time from China, it wouldn't surprise me if a good number of us receive our phones late friday afternoon.
As mentioned earlier, the shipping times appear off. The shipping info sent from Apple states standard shipping, Which on UPS from Shenzen to Canada is indeed the 17th. However, if you look at your shipment you will notice it was shipped by World Wide Express. From Shenzen to Southern Ontario on their calculator your get:
