Hoping my buddy doesn't get one from Best Buy or Future Shop before me, weather up here is beautiful so camping out wouldn't be so bad!

I wonder how many iPads will be sold in the first week?

This is not fun. I thought for sure that the status would have changed by now and it hasn't. What really sucks is I have 2 family members who ordered theirs after mine and their statuses changed on Saturday. Did I mention that all 3 iPads are being shipped to the same location?!? :(

Yeah mine hasn't changed either but still quoting 16th delivery

Mine got updated overnight to "Preparing for shipment". Was told it would ship today so it seems to be on track... But still watching it closely. My credit card is still in the "pending" state, hoping it goes to an actual charge today.
 
at 9:47 EST, mine is stall saying deliver on the 16th via Standard Shipping. My status is exactly the same as when I first placed the order. Should I be worried? New Hampshire is an awful long way from China!

Don't be worried. I spike with Apple this morning and was told our are closer to us than those who have shipped already. You should get it Friday.

Actually, I didn't think of that. I did hear of some going to Chicago and New York. I had assumed those were the for the stores. I wonder if they put the internet pre-orders in place around the globe to facilitate the shipments. This means it is true then, Santa Clause really does own Apple computer.

I think it's the other way around. Apple owns Santa. I just wish the agent I spoke to would have told me whether my status should change to Prepare for Shipping or not today. Guess I'll be checking my status another 100 times today! :eek:
 
Still processing the black 32GB AT&T pad ordered on 3/8 with "delivers on March 16th" as of this moment. :(
 
Yep, I'm in the same boat. Ordered on announcement day at about 4:30. Still Preparing for Shipment. Hoping that there's something to the person's comment about it being "closer to me" as I'm in NYC.

That said, a colleague in the office next door ordered after me, and got notice on Sunday that his order had shipped on Sunday. He got a White 64GB LTE, and I got a White 32GB LTE (Verizon).
 
Here is the funny part for me:
I Ordered 2 iPads @ 4:30pm CST on March 7th here in Dallas ,TX
First iPad: iPad with WiFi 32GB - Black
Second iPad: iPad with WiFi + 4G LTE for AT&T 32GB - Black

For the first iPad I received a shipping confirmation e-mail that night @ 11:00pm saying that it shipped on the 9th and to expect delivery on the 16th.
I checked the tracking number Sunday morning and it said it was to be delivered on the 12th by 3:00pm - it's till in TN.
Credit card was charged for the first one...

Second iPad is stuck on "Preparing for Shipment".
No tracking number no charges to the CC...noting!

Its driving me crazy! Where is my second one?
 
Friend bought 9th, engraved, it's already in KY. I bought 10th, no engrave...still processing! His estimates 27th delivery, mine is 26th...yeah...huh?
 
All our processing iPads are likely already in us distribution areas so that means we probably won't go to preparing to ship until Thursday overnight for Friday delivery
 
Ordered 3/8. 32GB Black Verizon 4G. Still in "Processing Items" with delivery of 3/16. Not worried.

Mine FINALLY went to Preparing to Ship this morning, sometime in the last hour or so. My debit and credit cards have been charged also. I am now a happy person! Of course it won't ship until Thursday probably, but I should be able to deal with that.
 
Black 64gb Verizon STILL in processing... in the Portland, OR area.

I'm guessing tonight/tomorrow morning all of the processing iPad deliveries will start lighting up as shipped and we'll realize they were within miles of us this entire time.

Yesterday I moved to PFSG (preparing for shipment group). Still there, actually.
