still pending since 3/7 ~1500 EST .. order confirmation was at 1616 EST on 3/7 .. single VZW 64G black no engraving
I wouldn't sweat it - but thinking that for it to make it to me on the mark for Fri it should already be on the move .. wonder if they're finally taking previous feedback and sourcing to local distribution points based on past data. It's not rocket science, but it does amaze me every time for all of the components to come together so quickly to so many destinations every launch - i can only imagine that they've gotten smarter about this sort of thing (however a middle of the day store opening for order processing wasn't the brightest idea this time round)

OMG guys, no joke, I've been obsessively checking order status all day, and within the last FEW minutes, it just changed to "Preparing for Shipment"!
I NEVER thought I'd see this, but it's coming. Hang in there. I'm going to keep reading this thread. Check your statuses!

It will, that's what I thought too. I think we're all good, actually. Just some odd reason why the orders sat for so long. Maybe we are closer to the distribution point.

I called Apple Support and she said "it looks like your order will be shipped out 3/19 for a delivery date of 3/23." I also asked why my CC wasn't charged yet and she stated that credit cards aren't charged until the iPad shipped.

I don't get why some who ordered theirs on the 8th are getting there's processed before mine.
BTW: just checked a minute ago.. yep still "Processing". They have already taken the money out of my account too.

keeping this thread going. Anybody's changed yet or are your pre-orders still in Processing mode as of 11:36amEST.
I ordered my 32GB black AT&T LTE 3/9 9am. My status changed to Prepare for Shipment this morning. I wonder if it was because I spoke with Apple again early this morning.

It could be because theirs are coming from China and yours is coming from the US in either your state or a nearby one.
I am still processing but I just got a call from Apple. My store pickup is ready earlier. I can go to the store on Friday and pick my iPad

White, 64GB, 4G Verizon ... ordered 3/7, 1:00p PST. Still shows processing, delivers on 3/16. Am getting real worried.

Finally 64 GB Black ATT WiFi and 4G changed from processing since the 7th to preparing for shipment. Seven days! There is hope.
