Although we can't really complain, if we assume that no 38 SG are shipped and Apple knew this would occur a little bit of a heads up would've been a nice gesture. Make some excuse about manufacturing issues or some such with the black bands. It would be interesting to see which watches and strap combinations have been shipped versus those models that are on processing items still.

I agree that sucks big time. I really do think first come first serve should apply to apple too.

If they can't keep up with the demand maybe they should have limited it to one per customer?
I agree with you. If people who ordered 10 mins after me are getting theirs first, what's the bloody point in bothering?
Are the orders that have changed status identical to yours? Same size and strap?
Agreed. A few of things would get me annoyed if I didn't get it by Friday. Only a couple.
1) Apple knew of the shortage and screwed up their research to reflect the popularity of the 42mm SS Black sport
2) They didn't tell us ahead of time the above was the case
3) They didn't follow the first come first serve pre-order process
4) It was ONLY the 42mm SS BSB that had a shortage
Otherwise we have no complaints! We knew it would likely be around a 2 week delivery time.
They're rolling out in strap and model availability but I just think they shouldn't advertise this whole pre order malarkey when actually only some models will be shipped.

Usually if you are quick enough Apple deliver a day before historically on iPhones! They've given a date range and if you receive it on the 24th of April - Bonus! If you get it on the 8th May - Be happy! you've had until now to cancel your order even though you accepted this is the window of delivery! Just because you were ready to tap tap buy at 08:01 you think you deserve Karl Largerfield treatment!! Truly get a grip! You have no idea how the dispatch system works, it could be coming from China or within the UK etc etc.
I kinda think you deserve to get a faulty one if you keep moaning the way you are going then you'd of wished you had waited until the 8th! hahahaha!

The two week delivery window was duly noted, but it's annoying that Apple couldn't pin down a more accurate delivery timeframe. You have 4-6 week orders being charged already, whereas there are a bunch of 24/4-8/5 orders gathering dust. They clearly didn't know the numbers, and it's surprising to consider that for freakin' Apple, things really came down to the wire.
The 42mm SS Link is also in short supply. I don't know of anyone that is in the first tier for that config. I have a May delivery and my order was at 8.02am
No one was promised 24th. The first wave was promised 24th-8th. Sure, the lucky ones will see theirs at the beginning of that window. But with the possible exception of point 3, your list doesn't give anyone the right to throw their teddys out of the pram until 9th May.
Wow, you haven't been watching very closely then. Are you saying its been completely random as to when people are charged, for what particular watch and changed to preparing for dispatch. We saw a few hours ago the 42SS classic suddenly start to be charged for, its been happening. My 42 sport WSB got charged the same time as everyone else with this combination yesterday, moved to preparing at the same time today. There will be a system.
That's the same as everyone. The park (auth) only becomes a confirm at the dispatch scan!

Preparing for Shipping
Got charged yesterday and this morning changed to preparing for shipping.
I ordered the SS Milanese Loop at 08:02 so hoping for Friday.
