it looks highly likely that I wont be getting my 42 SS BSB on the 24th, ordered at 8:04 on the 10th and made the first batch. Its very weird that not one of my watch type has been allocated anywhere in the world. Either they have loads and waiting until the last minute or didnt have one. I cant work out which one.

What EVIDENCE do you have for a shortage for this specific model? A shortage would indicate there are not enough to meet the initial pre-orders....but this would also indicate that there are SOME. And since no-one in in the UK has been charged for this model, there's no evidence of this either. The absence of proof is not the evidence. Ergo; we wait and see.

Authorisations are done live, but confirmations tend to be processed at a payment run (which is usually around midnight) - When you pay for something in a shop, the auth and confirm is done at the same time, but online with Apple and Amazon et. al, an auth happens before someone packages up your delivery, and then confirm happens when it's actually dispatched.
So, Auth appears immediately on your available balance (for most banks) and confirms usually appear the next day after dispatch as a proper line item on your statement.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I believe it's fair for people to be annoyed if the 24th comes and absolutely nobody who ordered one particular watch style has received it. A window suggests that some should receive it at the start date, otherwise it's not actually the start of the window. But that's just me.

At least we are seeing progress in some models and also the fact no sign of any 38SG being shipped means there is hope they will all start appearing in a wave. I still believe!
