Order Thread for UK (BST)

Still nothing at all for my 42 Milanese Loop.... no charge, no status change :(

Still hoping though, but not sure how long I can keep up the hope.

Not angry or annoyed, just bitterly disappointed :(

OK so why the shortage of black and pink watch bands.

Forget the watch, we haven't heard of any manufacturing delays on the sports stars and why would pink or black be any harder to make than any other colour.

So can't understand why so many SS black and AWS with pink bands are not getting any moment.

The SG Sports might be another issues with the finish of the watch but you would think that would free up a lot of black banks for other watches to ship.

I am in the same boat 8:03 SS Black sports band and I just cant get my head around that no one has had this one processed yet. Is there non in the world or are they just going on batches. There doesnt appear to be a load of logic to things.
If I had known that there was a shortage of these I would have picked a white sports band one.

If I was my boss I would sack me for wasting so much time on this - Thankfully I am the boss...

Lets invoice Apple for lost productivity :D

When did you order it? If it was in the first 5-10 minutes I sincerely doubt you won't get it on Friday.

For the benefit of many of those who haven't preordered Apple devices before, sometimes the "Processing" doesn't change till the afternoon of the day it's being delivered! This happened to some of the iPhone 6's we ordered last year, and indeed in other preorders in the past.

The status on the website is not the be-all and end-all, if you ordered early you should generally be okay.

What's annoyed me here is I've received an email saying I can get one by the 28th as an App Developer. If I wish to place an order.

I've already ordered one in the first few minutes of preorder day one and yet no money has been lifted and my status is still showing processing.

So are they holding back stock for developers who might potentially buy one and leaving people who have actually taken the time and effort to order one to be without a watch for a few weeks?

I am thankful I work from home so thankfully wont get caught. This watch better hurry up though or else I will get sacked!

Double time charge on my invoice to them!
 
42 Space Gray with Classic Buckle with email confirmation timed at 8.04 on 10/4

Now changed to preparing to ship. Also a hold put on my Amex for the charge although not yet on the statement.

Looking like I may get lucky: thoughts are with those who turn out not to be.

To be honest - this I dont mind too much. Its only a limited amount they have reserved for developers and to be fair, they need the product in their hands early for the greater good of the product. I prefer this level of preferred treatment than the one useless celebrities seem to be getting.

I have ordered 8.04, confirmation 8.05am. I have ordered tons of Apple products before. If it would be down to 'customer turnaround in £' I would be right up at the top.

As I said, I still believe, becasue if watches are in the UK, it would only take like a few hours to deliver to Glasgow. The £1 charge has been made on April 10th when I ordered.

I would not see a reason why I should not get the watch either....

I actually ordered a Light Blue Leather 42 a minute before. The time frame for that is mid May. No change in status there yet either, but that I can understand.

Now will we be registering for credit card companies that respond the quickest but pay the highest interest in the future?

Different colours can be different (and more difficult) to manufacture: the dye can affect the material properties. You can see that from the fact that the different colours don't all weigh the same... (See that spreadsheet from a few weeks back)

Okay before I go away and invent my own Watch am I right in thinking the £1.00 is for debit cards only???

Indeed, regardless, I have a feeling you'll get it Friday. ;)

I may have missed the boat ordering by 8.24, but it's all good, worth the wait. :)
 
After lots of looking at my bank balance, at 14:15 GMT, I was charged for my 42mm SS Milanese Loop :) **deep sigh of relief**

Looks like the afternoon charges have started. I'm off for some spicy pork with Francis etc.....

No, that was a Credit Card. Called M&S yesterday and told them that this is a valid puchase.
