Thanks :) I have spoken to Apple on-line chat and normally they are fantastic but this time they were not very helpful and said if I hadn't received an email then I can't have placed the order correctly (despite me saying I could see my order in my Apple App). When I gave him the order number he said it was ok and that order was live, but the whole experience wasn't very reassuring :(

But, I suspect that is more to do with the fact I have been obsessing over ordering it for months now and sooo don't want something to go wrong now :D

Did you drop in the phrase "Pics or it didn't happen?"
 
Apologies if this has been covered already, but I'm seeing people post status' saying their item is 'preparing for shipment' mine has 'preparing to dispatch' I'm just wondering people's opinion on what the difference is??
 
I partially paid with gift cards and partially with credit card (confirmation email 08.12 10/4 - due to stupid app not accepting gift cards :( ). On Monday of this week the gift cards were still showing a balance, this morning they were showing a balance of Nil, also whilst my credit card app isn't showing the actual transaction i am pretty sure my available credit reflects the fact that the balance has been or is about to be charged to the card. I had a 'second wave' estimated date for my 42mm SS white sports band. Still no change on my order status. I am not expecting to receive it Friday but now a little more hopeful to receive it earlier than 12/5 - am I deluded?:eek:

UK customers get 'dispatch' everyone else gets 'shipping'

No difference.
 
Interestingly timed article tonight about a man who murdered his PC in a fit of rage. Was it anyone from here?

Yes my delivery window is 12th - 26th May.

When I ordered at my "try on appointment" the Apple rep said the date had slipped & I said "aww that's a shame as it's my birthday on the 5th May and I had been hoping to have it by then" (you would think I was going to be 10 rather than 43 ;-) and the Apple rep said "he was pretty sure I would receive it by then".

I don't know if he was just trying to keep a customer happy or if he knew differently? I'll just live in hope ........... would just like to fast forward to arrival date. All the waiting will be forgotten as soon as it arrives :D

Which watch did you order?
I ordered late on the 10th, around 15:35 and still got a 12th - 26th May window for my SS black sport.

I ordered SS 38 mmwith white sport band :) you ordered at a similar time to me

Nope, but there seems to be a lot of movement on silver sports with blue/white bands, in the 4/6 window.

Just to clarify - it is the terminology in the UK versus US store when you are checking order status. You can be a UK customer but still check your order status on the main (US) store and it will say shipping rather than dispatch. I.e. If you go to store.apple.com and check order status it will say shipping, if you go to store.apple.com/uk it will say dispatch.

Ah my mistake. I though ss was stainless steel. I ordered the stainless steel with white sports band. I think the apple sport seems to be moving faster. Xx

i'm soo hoping for UKMail to be my courier. I live a couple minutes walk away and, hopefully, call them tomorrow and ask them to hold it there for me to pick up when they open Friday, rather than them attempting to deliver. Fingers crossed! If it's UPS, then I've got to go to Reading to pick it up on Saturday :eek:
 
Bit annoyed with the ordered with later shipping times being prepared for dispatch before others during the initial shipping window. I'm starting to think the delay with mine (42mm SS black classic buckle) has everything to do with accidentally clicking the "send together" button for Apple Care and the watch. Starting to think mine is being delayed due to a bloody book......

Would like to think that if it switches tomorrow there is a slight chance to get it for Friday, but that is starting to seem a bit unlikely.

Annoying to see those who have ordered two watches seem to be getting both despatched together even when they were given later dates than 23/4-8/5.

I'm hoping too. It's not impossible to be charged tomorrow and dispatched tomorrow late for Friday delivery. Keeping everything crossed! :rolleyes:

38mm White sport was showing as delivery for on Friday but the 42mm space grey sport was May 12th - 26th.

White watch was showing as preparing for dispatch last night then this morning so was the black, however the date on the black still says May. My card has been charged so i assume i should get them both Friday. Fingers crossed.

Lets see what happens. As soon as i get a shipping notification i will post it.

It doesn't make any sense to me and for the last few weeks i just thought my 42mm SG would arrive mid may, if its sooner then thats a bonus....
 
I spoke to a man at Apple today who said "trust me that is a very good sign" when I said I'd order a SG SPORT 42 at 8.03, card charged yesterday and status preparing to dispatch!
