Well, hey from central Bath - The apple store is a 5 minute walk from me!

I've had stuff by UPS and UK Mail here. Never DPD. I'm hoping for UPS, as i've already got UPS My Choice setup!

Never had Apple deliver through dpd, just generally like dpd though :)

I hope they use DPD for delivery in my area. Not filled with hope though, an iPhone I ordered last week arrived with UPS. They delivered on time, but despite their depot being literally 20 minutes from where I live, they didn't show up until 5:30pm.

As for the lack of movement on our orders, I'm not worried yet. The fact that none of us have heard anything is reassuring- Apple won't neglect the orders of the entire country :D

DPD is the best. You can stalk the delivery guy and you know really accurately when you can expect him to arrive.

All other delivery firms should go bust. Everyone should use DPD exclusively.

They'd better not. This is why we need to renew Trident.

From previous experience, our watches will come direct from China. There will be deliveries on the Friday. Those who ordered in the first few minutes wont neccasarily be the first to have theirs shipped or delivered. This depends on the configuration you ordered and some pot luck thrown in too.

Will be checking back throughout the day so hopefully will see some movement. I think we will this evening.

Not totally accurate. My iPhone 5 and a lot of people on here in the iPhone 6 thread had launch day devices shipped from warehouses in the UK.

DPD is wicked. Hate how you don't get a narrower window from UPS other than it will be delivered today

Given apple does not communicate in general, this is the closest we will get to an official source.

They're pretty much just repeating what a lot of people here have said over the last week. They could be making the same educated guesses we are, rather than actually knowing. We don't know if they're just random store employed or anything. We already know that the online reps are not reliable, so why think this unofficial Twitter is reliable?

I have a DPD delivery today. I can see an hour window when I need to be home, who is delivering it and have options to change the delivery day or request my neighbour gets it all from a simple online interface.

They truly are the kings.

Edit for clarification: my DPD delivery today is NOT the watch!

When you call Apple, talk to a rep etc etc, they are at work, and therefore limited to what info they can tell you.

Once these people go home, and sitting behind a twitter account, which allows them to be anonymous, they can give more details without getting into trouble.

From experience, the average store employee knows very little.

Though this is just my gut feeling.
