When I get to work today 2 of the guys I work with got there's friday. I had to be different and go for the stainless steel.

Update from Dover Street Market.

They only have 42mm SS Milanese and 42mm Sport White and 32mm Sport White and Black.

Their delivery today was smaller than expected.

So basically exactly the same as they've had all weekend, from when I was in there Friday around 5pm.

I think Apple have taught them how to fiddle with facts quite well!

This isn't good news. If there delivery is smaller than expected then the supply is even more constrained than was first expected!

If this is the case either we are all in for a long wait or Apple are prioritising the Online Orders over the shop supplies.

A bit inconsistent this queue. They closed it and I was told to wait over the road. Then a new backup queue of around 30 people formed and I'm now at the back of that. They're certainly not managing it well. If you have an apt then you can walk straight in. Not seen many do so though

lol......lady said they didn't have any milanese over the weekend and they only turned up this morning along with loads of the 38mm sport black.

I HATE the Dover Street Market. Up their own.... to the max!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

got all excited then just had a knock on the door for a delivery....turns out it was a filter for the fridge that i forgot i ordered talk about being on edge even my minds playing tricks on me :(

I need to stay off these other threads in the forum. I'm getting annoyed with those around the world with estimated dispatched dates of 4-6 weeks, getting dispatched emails and notices today! grrrrr:mad:

Until the watch is available in Apple Stores it should not be available at any other retail location. Bad move on Apple's behalf.

I agree. It's probably because they would get slated for only having it in a select few stores rather then one. They clearly haven't made enough.

They defo had them. I got mine on Friday and called again Sat to check if they had the classic leather in stock as to whether I would go abck and excahnge my one for that. They said only mil available.

Going to keep the milanese now. Wasn't sure about it at first but with a suit and shirt it looks good and thats what I'm in most days, will buy the classic in store when it's availble.

Also have a 24-8th pre-order of classic 42 that I might keep and then sell the milanese. Either way, no need to rely on DSM any more.

By the way: One thing to note about DSM is that it's not an Apple popup store, unlike Selfridges, its just a standard reseller. They have their own returns policy which includes NO BUYERS REMORSE, so once you buy and open, its yours. Prob not a problem at the moment as you can prob sell for what you bought it for even opened, but just to be aware.

So you're Apple, you've got hundreds of stores worldwide, you've been dealing with launches at this scale at least once a year in recent history, yet when you launch a new product you decide: why carry stock in MY stores, (where people are TRAINED specifically for that, where money goes in DIRECTLY into my bank, where I can UPSELL on any of my other products) when I can give a couple hundred units to a boutique known by a handful of people and create madness for those queueing in front of a luxury store AND for those at home that went to some lenghts to order theirs online only to find themselves in "Processing" limbo...

All I wanna know from anyone at DSM is wether they ever had any links in at all since launch. Was inconclusive from Friday's people.

I third, forth and fifth that.

Totally agree. However from :apple: point of view they have people queueing outside a store in one of the worlds big capital cities day after day to get the latest must have product! They play the long game and don't seem to care to much about their pre order customers. They already have our order they care about how they snare more and more of us!

The queue does appear to be moving. The amount of apple people here is incredible. This whole DSM thing was obviously some kind of experiment for them...

----------

No. I'm near the back. I was at the end of the queue and the stocky little guard with cropped hair said to wait across the street. So I did, then a new queue formed and I lost my place. In the new queue now outside HIX about 10 back
