Lucky

I feel so lucky after reading this thread.

I ordered mine on 11th April at around 1am UK time so about 17 hours after launch and ordered the SS classic leather and SS Milanese Loop and leather said 24/4 to 8/5 and Milanese Loop said 4-6 weeks. Both of mine were dispatched for delivery on 24th April and I picked up leather from UPS on 24th April and UK Mail delivered Milanese Loop today as they wouldn't let me collect from the depot on Friday.

On top of that I managed to get a SS white sport strap from DSM yesterday and another Milanese Loop from DSM today.

Did Apple take the weekend off or something?

It's ridiculous but there's still time for movement today for you guys.

My order went from Processing -> preparing for dispatch at 6:30pm.

Then went from preparing for dispatch -> dispatched at 10:30pm.

So there's definitely still time.

status (slightly) update

Ok maybe I'll allow myself to feel a little more optimistic?!

How are you liking the watch after the weekend now?

I'm still getting used to it and learning how to best take advantage of the features.

It came in most handy on Saturday as I was helping set up and then attending a party. While decorating etc throughout the morning it was very convenient to receive notifications on the watch and keeping my hands free. While in the afternoon I set it up to receive score updates on the football so I could stay updated.

All family members and friends were very impressed by the watch however everyone is in agreement (including myself) that it most definitely not a NEED though it is very cool to have one and I feel the longer I spend using it every day the less likely I'd be able to cope without it.

Does anyone know how DSM is working? Says you have to make an appointment but have seen some people say they bought theirs as walk ins ?

I ordered a 42mm stainless steel with milanese loop on the 10/04 within the first 10 minutes, order says 12 may to 26 th of May still.

I ordered a 38mm space grey with black band 20 hours ago that said June delivery, yet that has now moved to a 20th May to 2nd of June spot.

From what I gather the preferred method is to make an appointment. However there is a queue for no shows. Kind of the same system they had on the launch of the 6/6+ at the Apple Stores

My 42mm SS Classic Buckle was still stuck in processing on Friday, so I decided to try arranging an appointment with Dover Street Market instead.

After a long time trying to get through on the number they gave, I thought enough was enough and resigned myself to waiting in processing hell. Luckily my girlfriend (whose 38mm Milanese Loop had shipped early and arrived already) felt bad for me and tried ringing them as well. She finally managed to get through and book something. When I got to the store they had some stock of 42mm SS Milanese, so I bought one of those.

While I was buying I very clearly asked the assistant what Dover Street Market's return policy was and he said I'd be able to take it back if I wasn't happy. After I got out of the shop I checked the receipt and that's clearly not the case. I'm really happy with what I got, so it's not a major issue, but thought I'd post the receipt terms, just in case that was useful for anyone.
