Lack of info is my main problem. Lack of movement today (so far) is disappointing. I expect it to come on or before 8th - but would like to know if this week or next now.

Losing hope in Apple as a company in general.
This is the second product I have had an issue with at launch. I bought an iPhone 6 128Gb which developed a fault. The screen clicked when pressed near the volume buttons!
They replaced it 4 times in total for a new one before I demanded a refund as I lost all confidence in that model. They tried real hard and gave me the option of choosing any phone in the shop but I wanted a 5S with 64Gb which they no longer make so had to get one on eBay.
I feel sorry for all of us that love Apple products. The problem is they know that there are no true alternatives once you are vested in their ecosystem. That is why we will endure these inadequate launches.
