I know Apple is an American company but they seem to be really favouring the U.S. With this launch. We seem to have to wait for everything over here. iTunes Radio. Almost 2 years on and nothing. I hope we don't have to wait that long for Apple pay.

That's the other thing that annoys me, I want Apple Pay, we are by far I believe more developed in using NFC payments then the US, yet they get it first...

here here... I really want ApplePay... In most respects the UK is more ready for ApplePay than the US was... We already have contactless payments as well a chip and pin.

The actual NFC payment side of things is only a very small part of Apple Pay. The ability to generate unique "tokens" for each transaction, and banks being able to process that is the biggest.

Think of it as every single transaction you make has a different card number, and Apple Pay has to get that new unique card number from your bank before the payment can happen, so the bank knows where the money is actually coming from - all to keep you safer by the card number being used once.

Yeah so do I. It's not like we don't already have the infrastructure for Apple Pay as we do. Contactless payment terminals are all over the country. In the USA there was hardly any contactless prior to Apple Pay. I got my first contactless card in January this year and I love it, and would love it on my phone (and my watch when it eventually arrives)

iTunes radio would be nice too especially as I'd get it ad free as I'm an iTunes Match subscriber.

Hi all. I have just heard from a friend in the UK that her 38mm sport with pink band has just moved to prepared for shipping! Could this mean we have hope for today?!?!

Just registered after reading a big chunk of this thread, added myself to the file.

Didn't want to pre-order before going to try-on in store, i should just went with my gut feeling Steel 42 with Link, which is what i eventually ordered 4 days late.

Long wait ahead, oh well, have to keep my Citizen for a little while longer lol.

If it's any consolation the Link Bracelet had a long wait time anyway - think it started as June.

Barclays don't allow touch id on there app, however they are doing a trial (which I am part of) on mobile cheque deposits.

When I asked them they said they were ready for Apple Pay but that 1 British bank is holding the whole thing up.

I'm guessing they didn't say who?
