surprised Daily Mail has not picked up on this Yet. They could really generate some outrage in their readers. They always have a flea in their bonnet about Apple and how they rip off the UK. They would have a field day with this:

1. UK buyers unable to get watches as Americans being prioritized
2. Benefit cheats buy apple watches to sell in China, hurting UK consumers
3. Apple only sells it watch in a posh Boutique in Mayfair and not in places Joe Normal atternds

It could go on and on.

Maybe UKIP could get in on the act as well?

Sorry, but I used to work in newspapers and this kind of thing would not make a good story.

The real story is our childish fury when we know it will arrive before 8 may. Unless they deliver after 8 May, then it's a story. 50 words tops...

Sorry, just being realistic here. I'm also excited and pissed off.

If Nigel Farage buys an apple watch, they will instantly drop in value to pennies.

Ill bin mine.

If any of the leaders have one i will get a hammer and see if the glass is as strong as apple claim. Almost cancelled after seeing bloody beyonce with one while wearing a pigeon on her head

But that would be the truth, and since when did papers like the Daily Mail report on the truth? They like to twist and manipulate the truth in to what they think will sell papers! That's how (most) newspapers work! ;)

Looks like 42mm SG w/BSB are moving in the US, most people were showing a 12/5 - 27/5 shipping window on them but they are now preparing to ship. More proof that we have been royally shafted.

As we were talking about Apple pay I thought this might be useful. I asked the question and got this reply within a few minutes. Its from the Barclays Mobile cheque deposits Facebook page.

Slightly off topic from me again sorry.
Any idea on Apple pay? Apple state they are waiting for the banks. We have the infrastructure in the UK, chip and pin/ contactless etc.

Hi, We haven't had any concrete answer on Apple Pay unforunately. The last I heard when I enquired was that we were waiting for Apple to provide us with information as to how the functionality works with their systems. I know for a fact that we'd need to see a development kit beforehand, so we could run compliance tests to make sure a) it works with our own infrastructure and b) that we can be sure our customer's data is secured sufficiently. I'm not aware if we've even received these kits from Apple yet.

On a completely separate note, I do know that there was some arguing between unnamed banks in the UK around the percentage fee that Apple takes as part of the service. Whether this has any bearing I do not know. Ant

So we will either see some movement, or apple are bulk fulfilling orders in the states and then we will get ours in the next batch, ahead of their 08/05 deadline #
