Order Thread for UK (BST)

I thought it was 5pm eastern time. It was about 10.30pm here New York is 5 hours behind so 5.30pm. End of the working day makes more sense to me.

Well it was about 10 here in the UK and on the forums the time said 2pm on the posts that were coming in. So I just assumed 2pm was the time in America

Still nothing :(

At this rate, I'm not gonna in trouble with work! Constantly walking outside for 'fresh air' to check for an update! :p

That would of been 2pm where the servers are located. 10pm BST is 2pm in Cail. So servers are most likely in Cail for this forum. However while the east people in eastern USA where having money taken at 10pm BST the guys and gals in Cail were freaking out that nothing was napping on there accounts.

I have a theory!

After I read the article about the guy who was in the second wave bracket, getting his account charged and status changed to 'preparing to ship', it made me think.

What if everyone's watches in the first wave are in local hubs, we won't get charged, or even know they are there until tomorrow when they dispatch.

This means, everyone charged and status changed yesterday are in the theoretical '2nd wave' with orders coming in from China, and then going straight to the doors of Americans.

Makes sense if you think about it. Could be way off.

I've spent the time waiting for an order update writing an app using Swift and WatchKit so that an Apple Watch will tap me as soon as the order is dispatched. Oh, wait a minute ...

Interesting theory, but one that could work.

It seems odd that's it's just countries outside of the US mainly though.

Didn't someone earlier claim that Apple Support informed them that the watches would be coming straight from China to us?

I know, I know...grain of salt, etc etc.

True, I guess my theory is just as unreliable. The historic post I read in the iPhone 6 meltdowns said an apple rep said they were in the Uk being distributed to carriers on the tuesday

Like other people said, would make sense because most orders for practically anywhere outside the U.S. could reach the persons door 24hours after giving to a courier cause we are so small.

Which is why I don't think we will see preparing for shipment until Thursday. Why? Because that would be normal.

Usually that's the case, with the new MacBook's that's also the case, they ship directly from China. How is that normally with iPhones?

I'm still hoping on a Friday or otherwise Monday delivery. :)

I am an ex-Apple employee, I don't have many links at Apple anymore, otherwise I would probably be able to send a few emails to find out more information...dammit. I know I am being super impatient here...but at least I'm not the only one :D
