Here’s to the waiting ones. The 42 SS BSBs. The Milanese Loops. The elusive link bracelets. The square watch on our round wrists.

The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of shipping delays. And they have no respect for the Exec team updates. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they pre-ordered things. They invest. They wait. They grind their teeth. They climb walls. They procrastinate. They hit refresh. They push the watch delivery race forward.

Maybe they have to wait ...

How else can you stare at an empty wrist and see an Apple Watch? Or sit in silence and feel a taptic thump on your arm? Or gaze pictures of the device and still resist the urge to cancel?

Apple make watches for these kinds of people....

Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can work out their expected delivery date, are the ones who do.

Chin up guys ...

This may be one of the best posts in this entire thread! <3 that ad!

wish the guy I spoke to today was so friendly...he was really arsey...not great at customer service at all

That was over two weeks ago. They are probably as stressed as everyone else with the constant requests for updates. Or maybe Francis is a little bit special. ;)

I know, it really annoys me that not matter how annoyed and 'depressed' i get over it i will almost hit the roof when i finally see some movement and all of this will be forgotten.

They have me hook line and sinker and i can't do anything about it

I feel for you all still in processing hell, but I can tell you, that you'll love it when it finally arrives!...

You'll love...
- its subtle notifications :)
- its beauty and craftsmanship :)
- a surprisingly good battery life :)
- being able hail an Uber ride with one little tap :)
- turn by turn navigation :)
- being able to customise its watch faces (more than you think) :)
- Siri (all over again) :)
- being prodded to stand up :)
- changing music tracks :)
- pinging your phone that you couldn't find :)
- finding local bars and restaurants with TripAdvisor or Yelp :)
- friends (and strangers) thinking its a super-cool toy :)

I'll stop there as you get the idea!

Keep the faith Apple Watch disciples and praise be to Francis! :)

Here's hoping for a big push tomorrow...

I'm so impatient!

Checking multiple times a day hoping the ASB 42mm ordered at 08:11 has moved to "Preparing for Dispatch".

On another note I dropped Tim an email this morning venting my frustration, his email address is a good sounding board!

I got a call from Executive Relations a short while ago coincidentally it was the same girl who dealt with rMBP saga (long story).

She was apologetic and thanked me for my patience, said she's going to keep an eye on the order. Tim has had a lot of email re: Apple Watch orders. For those who are in the 12-26/05 block she expects movement in the next few days.

Certain orders placed after mine for other models could be delivered before mine.

So nothing new really, she's calling me back tomorrow. In the mean time I will be sending across a link to HarryT's spreadsheet.

My 42mm SS watch is set for a June dispatch date. But I'm so tempted to cancel it and order a 38mm one instead as they have a shipment date of 2-3 weeks. Is there a big difference between the 2 sizes ??

:) just trying to cheer everyone up a little; jroberts said he was feeling down.

It was either that or a play on Monty Python's 'Bright side of life' ...

There's always this if you're bored waiting for your :apple:watch.

Apart from the 4mm size difference? No

One of mine just changed from 18 - 22 May to 14 -21 May. 38mm AWS WSB ordered on 30/04.

My other 42 AWS BSb stills says 4-6 weeks 27/05 - 09/06

My date changed too. From 19-26 May, now 14-21 May.
White 38mm Sport ordered on 01/05.

Hope to see status change soon.

THIS PEOPLE! THIS!

This is a great take on the Apple classic (for those of you that haven't seen it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rwsuXHA7RA&spfreload=10 )

I'm very happy with my 42" SG and sure all those still waiting will be too.

It's a beautifully made device but the UI takes some getting used to with clicks / presses not necessarily having expected result!

For the most part I like the UI and the screen is very sharp and activate on wrist raise works well for me.**Siri is surprisingly accurate and even got it swearing like a sailor on command.

Not a fan of most of the watch faces as most look cluttered / personally the round ones on a square device look a bit odd but the beauty of choice I guess!

My current face attached.

Battery yesterday was terrible but think syncing / novelty factor caused that as was dropping at an alarming rate.**Charged to 100% at 9 this morning and have 58% left after 5 so looks good for a day.

Had a lot of use today but mainly notifications etc no workouts / music etc..

Lots of interest in a meeting today in it from our tech guys (all android users and one with Moto 360) with feedback generally positive which is new for me with any Apple device I've shown an android fanboy!

Third party apps aren't great with some exceptions MLB At Bat works well but others quite poor but time will surely sort this. Interesting aside from one of our IT guys (I work for a bank with a watch app) Apple only allowed one hour of testing on an actual device pre launch so can see why some TP apps are poor!

I contacted Spigen about the shipping dates for preorders (they say 7/5 on their site) and they advised earliest mid May which is a bit naughty! They also seem to be moving the price around a lot and I do wonder if this is due to manufacturing issues because the MagSafe charger has very little mag and is not that safe as a result! (I have the sport and standard charger and both are pretty weak!).

Overall very happy and I'm sure you guys will be too...

Tom

Agreed,

placed 3 orders on launch, one on 30/04. Have received 2 of original orders. Final order from 10/04 not coming until possibly June. Order placed on 30/04 could arrive as stated earlier by 14/05.

They really need to sort this crap out.
