Disagree. It will probably take around a year for apps to be optimised/released. I won't expect another apple watch next year.
From the appointment I had with Apple, and recently becoming involved with Apple Retail the believed timescale between staff seems to be consistent that Apple will likely do a refresh on the Apple Watch every 2 years. Based on the overall success, and the fact many staff still haven't received their Watch yet, it would be considered a poor decision for an annual refresh if an update was to be introduced in April 2016.
Of course, any Apple staff outside of Cupertino don't receive all updates in an effort to minimise the competition from gaining an insight into Apple's progression.
Those are good options. I only ordered on 1st May so my expected delivery isn't until July. While I hope it comes forward I'll see if any options come while in the U.S. or in stores here when I get back. Otherwise I have this order at least.

I think it's just not that popular. I ordered mine on April the 10th but not until 08.24. Mine arrived on launch day. I don't know why people don't like it. It's so pretty
Has anyone seen or even ordered the HOCO link bracelets that are available on eBay? They look good for the price but I got a 42 SGS so I'm gonna wait till they offer a black one. I'm hoping with the popularity of the SGS this won't take too long...

Hope you get your deliveries soon.I ordered mine 10/4 day and it arrived 28/4, i used it for a few days and decided it wasn't for me, moved it on for £210 more than i paid for it, bear in mind i only paid £339 for it I think that's quite a profit haha.
Do we ever see changes on a Saturday? Just wondering if it's even worth checking statuses until Monday!
We haven't as yet (unlike the USA) but who knows, Apple may surprise us. But they probably won't!
Update for anyone thinking of collecting from UPS today:
I waited all day for delivery yesterday, only to find they attempted to deliver at 7pm to a business address which of course I had already left.
After calling them to ask to collect from depot today, I was told they weren't aware it was a business address (even though the shipping address was correct), and that I could not collect from depot because there was no contact name on the address for identification just a business name.
I double checked my info on the Apple Store, and both my name and business name are set in the shipping address. I'm not sure why this info wasn't passed on to UPS...

Really happy with the black classic buckle - really comfy and luxurious compared to the sport band I had previously. Super impressed (although I'll admit £130 is steep) but at the same time it means I can put whatever custom strap I like on it, so not too bad.
I'm quite happy with my classic buckle too and going to purchase the Milanese as an extra

Only China and USA gets updates every day of the week including weekends. EU countries get updates once a week normally on Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday (we had one on a Friday but they were just charges, no dispatches). Our updates tends to be much smaller than their ones as Apple UK are still processing orders in the first 8 minutes of pre-orders.
I did some research around this and I found out that Apple hires 2 manufactures for the watch. The main big Chinese manufacturer was producing faulty watches with a turnaround of only 30% non faulty whilst the small Japanese manufacturer is producing non faulty watches. So it appears that Apple cancelled the contract with the Chinese manufacturer and is using a small Japanese manufacturer. They appear to be adding Foxcon (mega huge Chinese manufacturer) in June and hence more deliveries will be around then.
My (38mm, SS, BSB) order status changed to Dispatched on 07-05-2015, and was delivered 08-05-2015.
Now it's on its way to The Netherlands using a shipping forwarder.
