Order Thread for UK (BST)

Just contacted online Apple Store chat as I was 8:02 order confirmation for 42mm sports with blue band and haven't been charged yet. Asked them to check my order and they confirmed authorisation in place and no issues with my order so should receive on Friday.

So if you haven't been charged yet don't give up hope :)
 
Starting to get the feeling charges are getting taken as watches are unpacked and scanned. That's why specific models aren't being charged yet. It'll go through the day/night for first wave orders. Maybe?

With first direct, the only place you can see available balance is if you go to payments, and go through the first step of making a new payment. It's crazy!
 
When we pre ordered did Apple do any pre authorisation on our cards? Worried I may have entered something wrong and that's why I haven't heard anything. But if they took money and put it back when we first pre ordered everything should be ok I guess.

Ordered the same model at 08:03 and haven't been charged. Strange....

Given how small our country is and that delivery will be next day, I can't think why they'd charge us now unless they planned to ship for Friday. I might be being foolishly optimistic, but I figure if we're getting charged now, we're getting a new watch on Friday. If we're home. If the delivery guy is in a good mood.
 
Anyone else having absolute nightmares about the CANCEL button on the order page? What happens if you click? Does it immediately cancel or ask if you are sure?

I didn't get any pre-auth at all on mine, but it's the same account I've had linked for over a year with the App Store invoices, etc. and so presumably if you use your card regularly, they already know it's a legit account?

I'm still miffed that they haven't taken the money for the extra charger but they've charged for the watch, this is exactly the opposite way around it's been happening in the USA, they've been getting charges for the extra charger and no charges for watches.

Lots of people with the black sports watch don't appear to have been charged yet :( It must have been a very popular choice.

Still just says processing though, no movement on the apple store order status yet.

We have to remember though, if they charge them now, they arrive in the country tonight by UPS or FEDEX, they have Thursday to get them to all of the couriers and then the couriers ship them on the Friday. We're a MUCH smaller country than the USA and the logistics will be much much smaller. I'm assuming they'll charge for the charger on Thursday and post it the same day by Royal Mail, then it'll arrive Friday or Saturday.
 
Now the REAL waiting game begins...

1) Need to keep re-checking my bank in case the charge falls off.

2) Need to keep re-checking apples page for a status update.

Never ends. #

An earlier pos in this thread contained an image with chat support who said that Apple's procedure of not charging until shipment is a favourable method. This means that they must be shipping now and with rumours that they're already in the country, I have no doubt we will see them on Friday.

I can't see them allocating a watch without payment being taken though, what happens if they scan the watch and the payment fails? Surely one would have to be charged first and then allocated.

Order still processing 24th-8th window.

Ordered on the app with a pre set favourite as soon as the app went live.

I have my fingers crossed for everyone in the UK that someone gets a delivery on Friday (and the rest of the colonies too, don't feel left out me hearties!)
 
For those who have been charged, watch for it showing up in your apple support profile... It will be interesting to see when the watches were made.

You aren't at all buzzing about getting charged for your watch? Who the hell cares about the charger man. Haha
