An earlier pos in this thread contained an image with chat support who said that Apple's procedure of not charging until shipment is a favourable method. This means that they must be shipping now and with rumours that they're already in the country, I have no doubt we will see them on Friday.

I agree I don't see why they would charge us now if they aren't planning on shipping them anytime soon. When I initially placed my my order I was charged £0.00 by Apple, that's how it showed up on my statement. It dropped off sometime last week. I've now been charged the full £299 for my watch.

There is a second page where you have to tick a box and click confirm. Used it to cancel the SS link bracelet I ordered 10/4 but then didn't like when I tried one on later that day. Checked and double checked that I was cancelling the bracelet and not the watch!

Cool!!! That's the end of me s******* myself everytime I go within a miles radius of the cancel button, thanks! Hopefully it won't be there anyway when we go to preparing for shipment.

I've not tried it myself, but I can't imagine any reason it wouldn't ask for a confirmation before actually cancelling. They'd get so many complaints if they didn't. In fact, I can't think of a single service I've ever used that hasn't asked for a confirmation - they all want you to have a chance not to not give them money ;)

yeah it asks for a confirmation, a box appears.

Some of the American's who haven't been charged yet are going MENTAL over on the main thread cause we have.

It's very entertaining.

Blue leather loop started at 4-6 weeks, and I've not seen anyone claiming that's been charged or even wondering about it. Don't know if all the colours were the same though...

Then why was the black sport band version ok for the 24th yet no one has seen a charge yet?

42mm SS with Milanese Loop, ordered at 8 and got confirmation at 8:03. Just been charged, still processing on the status page though.

When I was having a drink last night I didn't even trust myself to go anywhere near the order page. Imagine if my hand slipped due to being slightly inebriated and it somehow landed on the cancel button:eek:

This is really disappointing.

I see a pending charge on my credit card for my 38mm SS Classic buckle but not for the 42mm SS Classic buckle.

Ordered with different order numbers. Pity, because it was the 42mm I really wanted to get my hands on.

My order time was 8:10 before I could get the app to load, so I'm thinking I missed the early shipment date now...

Nope; presumably we'll get an email come through though, so just wait for the ping. As has been mentioned before, the act of receiving the shipment probably triggers the payment, while the act of assigning (or perhaps of label printing) generates a preparing status.

I don't think we get an email for Preparing for dispatch, just one when it is Dispatched, so you need to keep refreshing your order status...

A little homework for the thread.

Before your Watch ships, go to your order, click on Add Free Gift Message, and write a poem about one of the following:

1. Spicy pork salad
2. The hero that is jrobert
3. Francis' love life
4. Something else of your choosing

Then post your poem for all to see.

Hop to it!

Transaction isnt on showing my statement yet but I can see there is £340 difference in my current balance and credit limit - so must be the watch!

Yes, but depending on your bank (mine Halifax bank) you can see pending transactions. Something like this.......

If you're using the first direct app you can see available balance by tapping the account and the balance at the top.

Saying that, I've just had them on the phone and they've said my pending is both to Apple!

Ah yeah thanks, very good tip. Still not showing up for me though... patience patience....
