Order Thread for UK (BST)

Did any of you just receive an email from Apple saying that your order will dispatch within 5-7 weeks? Is that the email of death of some kind?

I think it was an email sent out to the folks that pre-ordered. My email says the following:

Dear XXXXX XXXXXX,

Your Apple Watch is expected to dispatch within the next 5-7 weeks.

When your order dispatches, you will receive a Shipment Notification email with tracking information.

For the most up-to-date information about your order, please visit online Order Status.

Thank you for choosing Apple.

I have not got an email re my pre order from 11th April, just the updated order status.

Just received an email from Apple. My SS BCB will be delivered between 25th June and 9th July. I placed my order today.

This is exactly the email I got and I placed my Apple Watch order today. So not just pre-orderers.

How is it an 'Email of Death' if it's letting you know your Watch is coming earlier than expected (in my case)? I wasn't expecting mine until July but I've been given 25th June at the earliest and some people have been receiving theirs up to a week before those expected dates!

i know what you mean, i also ordered on the 11th at midday and had an update today for a delivery window that ends on 29/6/15, so potentially delivery two and a half months after ordering, bit of a joke this launch, i know its not late but two and a half month seems like far too long

This is reassuring news. I ordered 2 of these, specifically because I'd heard from several forum members that this less desirable combo was shipping in approx 2 weeks.

I wasn't happy with the quality of the BCB so I want to get the replacement as quickly as possible.

Edit. What I meant to say was less popular. Not less desirable.
 
I got the email too about my shipping being in 5-7 weeks. Initially I got excited thinking that they dispatched it much sooner, but I can't complain since my original dispatch date was July and now it's June.

Considering only the first 18 minutes of 42mm SG BSBs ordered on the 10th have even been processed, I would take the pessimistic approach. My date was 27th May - 9th June and it's looking highly likely that it'll be comfortably into those dates before actually being dispatched - some people with 12th of May dispatch dates on their 42mm SGs are still waiting for theirs to be charged!

Really? I haven't seen anyone with the 12:th of May not getting theirs. Even HarryT got his.

Same dates as mine but have email at 08.11
 
Given that most who just had June has now it seems been moved to the 22-29th window, whenever they ordered seems like they have just done an automated change for all Dispatched June statuses to that new window regardless. Whether they come before that or not I still think will depend on when you ordered and what configuration you ordered with the more popular models being later.

However for those who had July and been bumped up to last week in June does seem to make some sense because they have to start catching up sometime otherwise they will never reach Apple stores and they can't have it on sale in an Apple Store before they full fill all orders made before they reach stores given that the staff in store are still telling customers that the quickest way to get one is order online.
