Well you'll know there's a good chance you're getting it Friday if the status changed to shipped by end of Thursday. If not, then it's much less likely... So only 2 days of optimism really....

Just checked my credit card and have a pending transaction for the amount of the Apple Watch ordered. This was for the Apple Watch 42mm Stainless Steel Case with Milanese Loop, ordered within a few mins of pre-orders going live.
I ordered a 42mm sport with blue strap, confirmed at 08:04.
I've just contacted the Halifax and they have confirmed that I have a pending payment of £339 which was requested this afternoon.
I also ordered a charging cable on a separate order, but that hasn't been submitted for payment yet (delivery 24/4 - 29/4)
No change of status on the Apple website though.

What's grinding my gears is people who ordered when it 4-6 weeks are getting payment taken but I'm not!!!!

Plenty of time yet. Payment could be taken as late as Thursday morning for delivery Friday.
I think I've been charged! Called the automated banking helpline which is saying I've got approximately £500 less to spend that what my app says! I really hope so. Will call back later to speak to an advisor to see where the charge is coming from.

Am I right in thinking all Apple orders will come from a Tamworth hub and therefore as I'm central Birmingham this could be a reason why I could be charged later?

Just had a conversation online with an apple rep who I'm hoping doesn't know what he's on about, saying watches won't be dispatched until the 24th. Im sure he's talking crap but the convo is attached.

He clearly IS talking crap.
"and it only starts getting dispatched on the 24th so thats when you will be charged" either he's talking about one line in particular or he's full of it, because lots of people have been charged already.
Apple appear to be taking money from my Barclays account, available balance is lower than earlier today by about the right amount

Very interesting, I wonder if they had a bulk of blue strap ones put by, or if the blue strap ones were the least popular and therefore they had space in their supply to sell some on the side.
