Im tempted to get myself one as I'm just about to get a redundancy pay off and 6 weeks pay from a new job all in one..

But I'm borking at paying £800 for the one I want, (apple watch with a metal link strap).

Is it possible just to buy the sport and stick a metal link strap on it?

It'd give me a 42mm sports watch with a nice strap for little over £400...... Much better than the £850 for the 42mm apple watch with a metal strap straight from apple.

The actual functionality of the watches are the same right? its literally just the difference in materials?

38mm seem to have shorter times on the website. I ordered a SS BSB on Sunday which is still quoted at 1-2 weeks despatch time.

You're right. Those look great! I like that you can choose the connector colour too - will be interesting to see the quality once they move out of pre-orders.

My 42 SS BSB that i ordered @ 15:30 on 10/04 is now Preparing for Dispatch. Had the 12/05-26/05 delivery span.

Selling it to a mate who is still waiting for his June 42 SS BCB, and he will cancel that.

Glad I got my 42 SS WSB v quickly, think I'd have gone insane by now.

Yeah I'm not gonna jump straight in, I want to wait until I can look at a watch in a Apple Store and walk out with one rather than watching the delivery updates like an impatient child.

Hopefully there'll be some of those straps doing the rounds by then with a quality write up etc.

There's a whole other thread on that topic; I suspect it'll only be certain models, the leather bands etc will not be available; if I ordered a SS soft pink modern buckle today it says July as an estimate...

My dates like most june orders are pushed to last week of June!!

If Apple start selling in stores by early June and many June/July irders arent fulfilled your gona get a load of cancellations as well as a lot of peed off customers who have waited almost 2 months!!!

Mine still just says June not even a date slot like the ones at the end of the month so hoping it is before them.
