Order Thread for UK (BST)

Although I had a Push Notification from the Amex app on my phone yesterday for £339 for Apple, it didn't appear on my actual Amex card.

I just logged in, selected Pending Transactions and got this:

Ahh thanks! I kept checking the mobile App.. yup mine was charged yesterday too

That's correct, Apple either took a pre-auth for the amount they are intending to change once shipped or Amex/any other bank are still processing the payment, this can take up to 5 days 🙂
 
The people posting that they are 'genuinely getting annoyed now' are joking right? We're lucky we even get order statuses and banks that will tell us about pending charges. Any movement prior to delivery is a 'nice to have' and doesn't correlate to when your delivery will come anyway.

All this probing should be done with a light heart, not taken too seriously. The earliest you are allowed to be annoyed is on the 9th May if your watch still hasn't arrived.

So does anyone have any ideas about a "Preparing for dispatch" that is still saying June delivery?

I actually pre-ordered LATE (14 April) so I wasn't expecting a Friday delivery.

For me it's more a sad feeling than annoyed. The Apple pre launch order threads sure come with a warning saying don't be sad or jealous by others in the thread.😛

Absolutely, I'm just glad mine will be here at some point in the next two weeks. However nice Friday would be, what's a little more waiting after this long.
 
So it doesn't seem like any 8:02 or earlier folks (apart from Space Grey) have gone to preparing for dispatch yet, right?

Seems that any Space Grey 42mm Sport ordered at 8.03 or 8.04 or after aren't being charged because people aren't going to get them Friday imho. Gutted.

That is true. Though I guess everyone wants it on the 24th , and given apple is not doing a store launch, it's kinda of a having your cake and eating it too for apple. Frankly it sounds like they were not ready for this launch but had to meet the end of April deadline.

I'm calling BS about this product being really unique etc etc that it has to be online only, apple is just not ready. Just like the new MB, people are receiving theirs and the local store does not have a demo model, that's really poor.

Can you test this and tell us whether you see shipping info?

Go to UPS, change to "Track by Reference", manually change the date from 4/21/2015 to 4/23/2015 (you have to type this, you can't choose via the graphic calendar), and use your phone number (no spaces) as the reference ID.

Finally someone with a little common sense. I believe you are right. Nobody will get a watch by this Friday unless they have had money come out of their account. That's where the two week window comes from...

Have a good feeling we'll see a lot of 'preparing for despatch' this morning as people start working through them at Hinkley in the UK and then despatched later today/tomor am to local distribution centres and then out to us Friday am.

Not necessarily. Could still be charged today/tomorrow, as long as it's shipped tomorrow, then you will get it Friday.

People are such pessimists on this thread.
