That's great and all but you cant buy it. You've already bricked the iPhone and cannot get it unbricked until 4.0 unless you wrote your UDID down. It's impossible to get now.

Not impossible, unfortunately I am in the same scenario and I wasn't worried because I thought DFU/Recovery mode would work, but I haven't found a way to yet. If you have a mac you're not out of luck, just open up system profiler :)apple: -> about this mac -> more information) and then go to USB under hardware and click iPhone. The UUID is displayed (weirdly enough) under Serial Number... Now if someone wants to help a broke college student get a cell phone working... Haha

And again the young and foolish rush to upgrade, having failed to learn after updating to 3.1.3...

like lemmings swarming over a cliff !

Thanks for that, I realized that after I bricked my phone, and by the way i won't be doing this again unless I register as a developer!

If I got someone to add my UUID would my iPhone automatically become unblocked or wool I have to do something to it?

Same thing happened to me last year. If i remember correctly, the only way to fix it then was to attempt to jailbreak to a lower version (but not actually go through the whole jailbreak process)

Thnank you so much! That worked perfectly and now my iPhone is up and rung 3.1.2 again! Thanks"

No, I actually ended up finding a developer that would host my iPhone for free and now I have 4.0! Yes!!!!!!

I've been scammed by sites before (they gave me a user and pass) had no more room on the account reported them and yet they still sell them to people

Haha, was the whole thread a shill setup? Awesome.

(edit, the sales posts were removed.)
