That's annoying: This upgrade made Mail disable my GPGmail.mailbundle, even if I had version 1.1 which should work with Tiger, and was working flawlessly with OS X 10.4.0 and Mail 2.0. Now Mail 2.0.1 under 10.4.1 refuses to have anything to do with GPG and disables the mailbundle when Mail is started...

Must be that new antipiracy feature of Tiger :p ;)

Works fine here in Sydney
what the hell are you talking about? are they selling pirated stuff on their retail store :p

Just out of curiousity, does the update include the DVD Player update which never got seeded out via software update? Lalala, I suppose I should just install and find out. ;) But >4 days of uptime is quite an accomplishment for me and 10.4.0 so .... :D

EDIT, also btw it does show up for me in s/u update (10.4.1 -- not DVD player, which never did)

Still no mail 2 fix for me...still needs a force-quit every time and messages disappear when switching between mailboxes.

Software Update has quit about six attempts in a row, wonder what's up with that?

Software update quit 3 times for me when trying to update. I went to the site and downloaded from there. Oddly the setup assistant launced after updating. Software update now works. But nothing to update now!

Haha. OS 10.4.1 next tuesday!! Someone was right this time. :D

I'm VERY happy this update is out. This whole system coming to a screeching halt thing is getting a little old. Come on mail update.

httpmail broke

httpmail for hotmail (version 1.44) is broken now

Maybe he's making fun of the rampant piracy that we have here in NZ. But more likely, he's implying that I have a pirated copy - I got it early from a local reseller :)

I took a photo of the manual to prove it was legit, and someone accused me of printing it myself!
It's quite funny to look back on it :D

Didn't really have any problems with 10.4, and everything feels smooth right now with 10.4.1.

It did bring my system to a ridiculously slow crawl for like 20 minutes when it was installing though. Annoyed the heck out of me as I've never experienced anything like it with OS X before, but everything seems great now after the restart.

Well, One Could only hope...

The iTunes Widget is not fixed. Same dog. BUT, I just noticed this. If you are typing in a field in Safari (such as this post box), call up the iTunes widget and hit track forward, and go back to typing... after about 10-12 seconds the track FINALLY advances, BUT MY CURSOR GOES AWAY. Yep, I must click at the last character I typed and start typing again. It's actually worse...

I still can't print to my Epson SP 1200 even with the latest Epson driver; just sits there after Print Center says the job is complete.

Luckily, everything else is working fine...

The update was very smooth for me. Time will tell if the two problems I have had are fixed: 1) Airport DHCP connection has been dropping periodically -- it never used to under Panther; 2) seemingly random kernel panic on shutdown. The latter has only happened twice, once on my PowerMac and once on my iBook.

Just updated. Everything seems fine. Hope it will fix crash on make roblem that I had once a week. I had this problem since Panther. :(

I'm dissapointed that it didnt fix the bug where you move the cursor over a column in "list" view and it does not update the cursor to the resize cursor anymore like it did in panther and jaguar etc. That is such a small bug but its so obvious and makes the OS really look like it's not polished.

Also, I've given up on iPhoto since they did not fix the bug with the pictures turning red on every edit.

Instead it disabled a mail plugin that I love, and that used to work fine in tiger 10.4.0.

=(

Just installed on the system below. No problems to report.

No major improvements either, I felt that 10.4.0 worked fine.

Expose does seem somewhat smoother, as does the "ripple" in dashboard... but this could be my mind. I don't want to be the boy who cried "snappy" ;)

the bug where Dock magnification would stay on after ctrl+click and then clicking on desktop was fixed. :)

the bug where a widget that occupies space over the MenuBar, and if you click on the widget over the menu bar, you'd get "click thru" onto the MenuBar - was NOT fixed.

Preview is still buggy with larger .pdf's but not AS buggy as 10.4.0

Expose has the snappiness back indeed.

I hope this quote becomes a regular part of MacRumors conversation every time an update comes up. Brilliant!

Haven't installed 10.4.1 yet, haven't been home all day. :/

Someone has to put Jobs picture in the places of Lucus's for that Darth Vader helmet cut away for when they do start serial numbering issues :D

This update still doesn't fix an issue which begun with 10.4. Whenever I download a .vcs file to add to iCal, OS X renames the file ending .ics, annoying in it self, but it gets worse: iCal then refuses to import the file because it's not a valid .ics file...

Manually renaming it back to .vcs (which involves a warning where keeping the old ending is default) does the trick, and now iCal is more than happy to add the file, but it seems like an unnecessarily difficult process for each and every one .vcs download and iCal adding...
