OK, this flat-out works and works well, even on low-end Q2DE-capable hardware like mine. I put that line in Terminal, rebooted, and fired up Quartz Debug. It showed QE and Q2DE were both enabled by default, and then I maximized and minimized windows holding the shift key and saw "framerate" (for lack of a better term) doubled over plain QE.
Hi ,
Thanks for for the feedback :) I put the line on my girlfriend her Powerbook 1,5Ghz with 1Gbyte of RAM and ATI Mobile Radeon-card with 128 of VRAM.
Same results there , it really boost her "real life" computer-experience. She also installed that little app so she can use her touchpad like the new Powerbooks and scroll with her fingers now. It's a lot faster :D
Now i have some good points and if she's happy , i'm too :p
It have no negative effects (like slowing down other apps) on her portable , which she's adore. Probable more than me
Thanks again for trying this out!

Installed 10.4.2 and within 5 minutes while trying to use the widget manager, the Finder crashed, Mail froze and I had to restart (power button for 5 seconds.) Doesn't look good so far ...
