I got the best of both worlds for a couple months now + custom icons for Office. I can wait :)

You telling people to be patient (on a rumors site) is about as useful as tits on a bull (or nfc on an ipad)....

That second point you made about NFC was interesting. I was watching the keynote and I remembered the guy being all, "...and this is for online purchases rather than in retail stores." I really hope people don't get confused and try to pay in stores with their iPads.

Maybe I have too little faith in humanity's intelligence.

Have to say those iWork icons looks pretty stunning, looks like I'll be keeping the iWork apps in my dock this time around

Note: To not make any confusions, I took this screenshot from Apple.com

Going to Apple.com and clicking upgrade which takes you directly to the App Store and tells me not available in the U.S., hmmmmm..... I can only assume it will not be up until later like 3 PM? Why the long wait? This is a first usually right after they announce it you would see it in the app store.

My god, the agony! #firstworldproblems

Seriously, wondering what's taking them so long? Don't recall such a wait last year.

Redeeming the code appears to have worked for me, although the download is slow (about 1hr 30mins), so maybe they're staggering the release or it's just taking time to propagate to the CDN.

I still would have held off with the website update though!

last year i remember it coming out about an hour or so after the conference had ended. I remember because i was downloading it and contemplating skipping my evening class which i eventually did to mess around with the new update.;):D

Wanna bet Tim Cook is down a service tunnel on the edge of the Cupertino campus saying (to two maintenance techs) "What do you mean you thought it would be ok to take the backbone down for maintenance?????" LOL
