If we don't like it, is there an easy way to revert back to Mavericks?

Has there EVER been a major OS upgrade with FEWER surprises in it?

With multiple PUBLIC betas theres been plenty of chances for any rabid fan to "try it out" long before today...

when in doubt: create a test partition, install, play, enjoy.

I suppose if they gave us an actual time of day, then they would run the risk of their servers getting an even bigger kicking than the one we're going to give them.

No one has answered the most burning question in all the known universe. Does Yosemite make Safari feel snappier? I have to know! Won't someone please think of the children!

Not helpful if there happens to be problems with my older hardware.

I have this installed on a 2007 iMac and I'm not experiencing problems. Hope you don't either.

Now I don't have continuity/handoff at 100% on this machine but I didn't go into it expecting the new features to work on 7yr old hardware.

No, Apple has secretly said that if they made safari any snappier the world would combust!

Yosemite Beta 6

New to All this and Apple in general and just need to know that if I am on Beta 6 of Yosemite will the release come as an update for me or do I need to look in another place?

I'm running the last beta too but I'll be looking for it on the App Store and doing a clean install when it's available. Although, the release has a different build number to the final beta so it's possible it'll show up as an 'update' to your current version.

Safari in Yosemite is stupid fast.

more importantly, how does firefox run on yosemite :)

I can't run Safari reliably with 45+ tabs like I can with firefox + tree style vertical tabs...

Now, if you tell me THAT is now feasible with safari- I might be taking a look at it....
