I still see a lack of thoroughness in final design details.
certain adjustments under this lack of concern that has persisted since the departure of Steve appears.
I found about 20 design details that I have reported since beta 4.

I don't think it's a lack of thoroughness or due to "Steve"; I just don't think the team is given enough time to fix everything now that they're on a yearly cycle.

I'm not thrilled with the changed green button. The only app I use in full screen is Mail, but the zoom button I use all the time. Guess I'll have to get used to resizing windows manually.

Downloading now and no problem I can only assume it is night in Cali plus download speed is 60 Mbps, not sure why others have problems with speed you would think by now ISPs would be lesser dicks.

Are you trying to use a bluetooth headset for phone calls and continuity/handoff?

I have a 2010 mini which did not come with Bluetooth 4.0. There were some rumors earlier that Apple would bring support to aftermarket 4.0 adapters as they did mention, during WWDC, bringing continuity "to a wide rage of Macs"

Still 4 hours to go on my college WiFi.

Pretty sure they don't work with it.

And that's what you get for not having your own internet

Even Mid-2011 iMacs did not come with either that means I am out of luck with that iPhone feature, sigh. Really do not want to upgrade when my iMac is still working perfectly I guess I will wait.

Any idea about the beta testers, i see the Yosemite download button in the appstore listing, but usually it comes in update page, where currently i don't see any update.

Press alt/option, you'll see the green button back to 'resize' fcn.

It's telling me I'm already on 10.10, and then I downloaded the whole pack on top of that and installed it, and there is still the beta load time, Feedback Assistant etc........

I was a Beta Tester, and I noticed the same thing. The update never came in the "Updates" section of the App Store, so I just downloaded Yosemite from the App Store. My build # is now Yosemite 10.10 (14A389), which other's have said is the final version released to the public.

Note: To see the build # of your OS, go to "About This Mac" and then click where it says "Yosemite 10.10" and you should see the build #.

So... How much more bloated and sluggish is this version of OS X?

My MacBook Pro is beautiful on Snow Leopard. Boots super fast even when running from an external USB hard drive. Mavericks, however, takes forever to start, is quite sluggish when first getting to the desktop... Every version of OS X has gotten slower. I don't have the most recent hardware, that's true. Still... I also don't have the most recent iPhone, so I have no ability to use all this extra interoperability between OS X and my phone. It's a waste of resources.

OSX Yosemite is butt ugly.

So far so slow
There is a notable lag doing pretty much everything

Any idea how to make it so you receive regular SMS messages on the Mac? I can receive phone calls (just started today), but so far not seeing any SMS messages coming through

ok, yeah my build is current..... just odd how some of this is still identical to Beta from what I can tell.

and it bugs me that nothing has been done with Dashboard...none of those apps are updated or anything, it's like they forgot about Dashboard altogether. I love Yosemite BTW, far more than Mavericks. Just waiting on these loose ends it seems.

No lag whatsover and I like the makeover. ....and yes. Safari is snappier. Literally.

Notification centre looks so much like the old Windows Vista version with app docking capability.
Even the translucency thing is very reminiscent of Vista.

However it all looks SO much better on OSX. :D

I just upgraded to Yosemite. In Safari Clearing website history makes auto logins to be signed out. Everytime I clear website history I have to sign back into macrumors.com. Is there a work around this? Previous versions of safari would give you an option of what website data you wanted to clear.

It was still a beta just days ago and plenty of problems were reported and uncorrected. No Golden Master. RAM hog. All-around slow. I have an SSD installed and it just feels like I'm running on a regular HDD, complete with lags and frequent BBoD appearances. Noticeable lag in pretty much every operation. CPU usage always high thanks to these unnecessary translucency effects, meaning shorter battery life and high fan noise. Crappy green button and debatable UI changes. UI inconsistencies. Bad colour balance. Evasive draggable top bar. Imprecise batteries meters, both Bluetooth and internal. Come on, have you hired Window's file transfer box developer, Apple? Still impossible to install AppleJack. Crappy spam filter in Mail. Windows stealing focus. Undifferentiated or mismatched external drives icons.

Have you noticed how many processes are running on an "idle" machine? As small as they are, they surely have to ask for resources at some point.

Releasing an unripe OS doesn't do good to Apple's rep. They haven't finished ironing out Mavericks yet. I guess I'll revert to Mountain Lion once the official beta closes.

Have the lucky few around here been able to connect without error to 802.1X-secures WLANs?

Done. Several different screens and never a restart chime.

How did you install the final version of Yosemite? I thought the installer just tells you you already have Yosemite installed and won't let you do anything?
