I signed up immediately after it was announced. Not sure what happened.

You didn't read the instructions, there was no email. You needed to go the Apple Seed site which is now down and redeem a code which possibly was already redeemed.

Got it downloaded! Now the questions are:

Do I install my main rMBP?

Do I install on my 5 years old iMac?

Do I make a second partition on my main rMBP?

Do I install on my external Thunderbolt HD?

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS on a secondary/external drive. A cheap and viable solution.

After you've updated to Yosemite be sure to check the App store to get the updates for Canon Printers, iTunes 12.0, and Voice update for Samantha.

Learn your lesson for next time.. Why would you want half finished software.. Do you take a cake out of the oven early as well?..

no i waited about 30 minutes and the progress bar didn't move. i restarted the computer and it works fine. I am on Yosemite now.

Signed up moons ago, no email.

Went to the Beta signup page, entered my AppleID info, boom, got it, installed on my mid-2011 MBAir and working fine.

I am obsessed with Yosemite, the UI is amazing. Jony Ive seems to know what he is doing. :apple:

You may want to read through this thread...:D

- There's no email
- Redemption code by signing in to the appleseed site (or whatever the beta signup site is), but many are finding it doesn't work ('code already redeemed' errors)
- To perhaps fix, Apple has taken down the site for a bit...

My MacBook Pro froze with less than a minute to install. Rebooted and trying again

My MacBook Pro froze with less than a minute to install. Rebooted and trying again

this happened to me as well on my Air. I rebooted and it finished installing, everything is working fine now. Hang in there.

Installed on my main machine about an hour ago. All my programs working perfectly. No problems to report as yet.

does this build work with adobe cc?

i'd download and install on my macbook if i knew it played nice with the adobe apps (dp1 did not allow adobe cc apps to run)

as for installing on my desktop, i'll wait until the gui gets a little cleaner and adobe gives the all clear.

For all of you telling us there is no email listen up...

When Apple announced the beta at WWDC many of us signed up that day for the Yosemite beta. After signing up, the website said we would be emailed with a redemption code when the beta was made available.

I am annoyed that they released the beta today and screwed all of us who signed up weeks ago. They didn't email as they stated they would and allowed people to sign up for the beta today and get a code. If they are already out of the 1 million codes then they really screwed over many of us who tried to do it the right way.

Installed on my main machine about an hour ago.

People are installing Beta software on their main machines?

Is anyone else getting an error while attempting to download the public beta?
