OS X Yosemite Public Beta Now Available via Mac App Store Redemption Codes

You are not making any sense. I am annoyed because I signed up weeks ago and they did not do what they said they would do, which is email me when the beta was available. I am hoping that they allow me to still participate as I signed up before many other people here, but as of this second, I still am not being given a redemption code, even when accessing the website to do so.
 
Already got the code, downloaded Yosemite and installed it successfully. Posting this from the new OS X.

So far, the most obvious changes are visual. Also noticed the notification bar overhaul, looks a lot more like iOS.

Theres a transparent-ish background to the dock, not sure if I like that too much.
 
When I click "Get OS X Redemption Code" at the bottom, it brings me to a page about system requirements, but no code?

Edit: Correction, got it! Now downloading! :D
 
The site was back up but I got the same, "Already Redeemed". It now seems to be back down again.
 
Going back and forth between 10.10 and 10.9 forces you to re-login/activate iCloud Keychain.

I doubt the 20,000 people who are Simultaneously downloading 10.10 is enough to crash/slowdown the server. I would be amazed if every (1,000,000) person was downloading at the same time.

EDIT: Okay I was wrong... people are getting notices saying download failed...

Easy.

Scroll down to the end of the page. Click Leave Program. Leave.

Go to the beta program page. Click sign up. Enter your ID again.

It will give you a new code. Copy and paste it manually into the AppStore.

It will accept and start downloading.

Oh, also, it will give you the "We'll be back page" again and again. Just hit reload when that happens.

Apple. It Just Works.

If its any consolation, while all of you are complaining about a non-issue where you will get in, in your own good time. I'm still downloading... Half an hour to go :D
 
I've had to exit the dev program and re-sign up to get a code a few times, every time it goes to the app store after redeeming the code and it says successful it takes me to the app update/downloading page but nothing ever pops up. Help?

If you're talking about the number of people who can access the beta, then that's false. Apple's website states "The program is limited to the first one million people who sign up, so join today."

If you're talking about how many people can download the beta from Apple's servers simultaneously, that's impossible to say, although I would imagine they are smart enough to make sure their servers have the bandwidth to handle thousands of downloads at a time, if not more.

Thanks for that. Site kept going back offline trying to get through all stages of officially leaving the program, but eventually got through and got a new (working) code.

THANK YOU! This finally worked for me! If you still get that the website is down, just refresh the page a few times. It should work throughout this whole process.

What Apple says is incorrect based on the number of people who have signed up in the last 48 hours alone. Don't worry yourself sick about trivial matters.
