It's interesting how people "thank" YouTube for fixing an issue and at the same time the same people were blaming Apple for the exact same issue. Why such negativity against Apple?
Why does Google get away with it, when they have issues?

Apple doesn't ever test updates.

YOU do.

:apple:

Of course Apple tests updates

Can it test for all scenarios? no.

Is their testing perfect for the scenarios they do test against? far from it in recent experience.

However this is no different from any other OS out there.

Well then that's your issue, because everything is running great for me and many others.

Since this was not an issue in Mavericks or previous Mac OS, you're wrong.

I would call you a Fanboy troll, but I've been warned that that is not acceptable on this website. LOL

But seriously, it's not like I'm the only one with Yosemite issues. A friend from Florida even contacted me for advice knowing I did computer repair and testing.

My solution to him was to downgrade to Mavericks. Problem solved.

In this particular case, it was Youtube. It was working one day and not the next. It works again now.

From all your previous posts you are officially an Apple hater. I don't believe one bit that you own a Mac. I think you just claim you do so you can troll people on this website. It's clear that you were completely wrong in this situation along with your other posts. You fail completely. Enjoy!

Funny enough, it is because Apple usually works "too well" usually. In the case of Google, you expect something to be broken... Just like you did with Windows...

I still get a huge number of bug updates every week on my 8.1 machines and I've got a network problem that's been going on 2 years (the machine randomly stops accessing the net every 1-3 days, seems to be a network resources issue) and still hasn't been fixed (Its not the router since the router has been changed twice already) and not my config since it had this bug right when I bought it and updated the OS, even got the computer replaced and still got the same bug once I downloaded the updates (the bug is in one of the updates!).

Google you shady ....s, Fix your s....!

Ah fixed now. Ok. Not sure why some knuckleheads saw this as an Apple issue. Oh wait perhaps it's because of the spate of issues following the iOS8 release in such close succession that lead people to believe this was another Apple .... up? Yet while the latter is true everything can't be Apples fault right?

Yeah that would be it.

Had trouble with this since Mavericks. It's actually a bit better on Yosemite but still have issues. YouTube videos often show up as blank in Safari too.

If I quote a post containing one you can see the typed link but have to copy and paste it into another window for it to work.

There's something more than just YouTube going wrong. When I click an app in the Mac App Store to view it, I just get a blank screen.

so it turns out it wasn't Apple's issue. Apple still cops the blame though lol

First glance is that it looks like Youtube tried to update their player controls and something went horribly wrong...

That happens to me with the new versions of Firefox a lot. Well, more than usual. I don't know if it's a plugin issue, or what. Sometime when I reload the page, it comes up, and sometimes I have to close the tab and reopen. I'm thinking this issue is more Firefox than anything else.

But if you don't use Firefox, well, then...

Tangent: Is Safari that much better than it used to be?

I don't know why the apple apologist here say this is a YouTube problem. My linux desktop works fine my iPads work fine only my imac running Yosemite is having this issue. The latest download of Yosemite not only did not fix problems for many it created new ones. I am not an expert just a new apple user that has been having a poor experience with ios8 and Yosemite.

I use Click2Plugin which seems to bypass this issue, but I have been noticing some slight audio-popping on YouTube today, I thought it was 10.10.1 but it seems to be YouTube specific.
