OSX League - 2011 MR NFL Fantasy Football

I wanted to make sure everyone understands that you just have to make the deal and accept it on both sides for it to go through. Standard procedure is that trades will process in 48 hours, but it doesn't have to take that long because the league manager can approve them at any time. So, as long as your trade is made before the 12PM Eastern deadline on Wednesday November 23rd then I will make sure it goes through. :)
 
Two weeks of the regular season left then, and it's two must win games for me. Luckily Thanksgiving is an American thing so my Englandshire-based players haven't been granted any holiday time – they've all had to report in for extra training to make sure everyone's ready for this week's big match.

It's a hard line to take with the lads, but those who have grumbled have been met with the suggestion that they take their complaints directly to Lord Meff. That soon shut 'em up.

Rest assured then that the only turkeys that will get a good stuffing at Meff Park this week are rdowns' Multiple Scoregasms. :cool:

So, at training we'll work out which position we'll play you at Mr. Pink – however, if quarter back's your preference you may be out of luck after Drew Brees put in quite the performance last night. In fact, it would seem that – unless there are stat corrections pending – the boy Drew managed to turn the result on its head, consign Randypops to defeat and put my Meffs in pole position for the play-offs.

Needless to say, no one is more surprised at this than me. :D
 
Wow, just a few points shy of beating the Tangerine Factor and staking my claim as the best team in the league. Darn you Wes Welker! Why Matt Stafford, I believe in you! :(

Now, I find myself in a tie with Moyank24 at 9-3 atop the iMac Division. Oh the drama, :eek: we play each other this week to determine who takes the #2 seed in the playoffs and a first round bye.

It's all good, I'd rather settle it on the field myself as opposed to relying on someone else. I look forward to a repeat of week 1 where I came away with the victory.

Although, I think it would be pretty hysterical to see the Meffs or Scoregasms sweep through the playoffs and win the championship with a 4-9 regular season record. That would just be too funny. :D

Actually I'd blame it on Colston. You were 13 points behind going into last night's game and he only managed 10.

If only Michael Turner hadn't had such a good game a few weeks back, I'd be undefeated.

I believe a I destined to lose my first playoff game :)

I probably should have played Laurent Robinson over him, but I just didn't. NO has so many weapons the ball can go to anyone as evidenced by the big night Lance Moore had. I expect Welker to be good each week, but 31 points good is a different story. And Stafford, well, no INT's and I win. But, alas, such is the nature of fantasy football. I could go on spouting what if's about multiple players. You do your research and you go with your gut, what happens next is anybody's guess.

It's like everything that could go wrong went wrong this week for me. Congrats Moyank on your victory, but seriously. CJ and Greene both have their best games of the season this weekend while Murray has his worst week yet since taking over the starting job at RB. Jason Garrett ices his own kicker not only costing the Cowboys the win, but costing me 4 points. And let's not forget Stafford throwing a pick (-2 points) on one of the final drives in the Lions vs. Saints game.

*deep breath* *calms self*

Okay, well goodbye #2 seed and first round bye. It looks like I'm going to end up the #5 seed and that I'll play the Meffs in the first round of the playoffs next week. This will also put me on the same side of the bracket as the Tangerine Factor. Hmph, I had planned on beating you in the championship swiftaw, but I guess I'll just have to settle for the semi final round of the playoffs. Moyank, I plan on seeing you again in a few weeks and this time I'm sure the outcome will be different. :)

Fantastic – while my progression into the play-offs has balanced on a knife edge in recent weeks, this is the tie I was hoping for if and when I made it through.

So bring along your preened and pampered star players with their fancy dan skills, matching uniforms and tooth veneers, and do your best to prepare them to face a display of absolutely rampant meffery. :D
 
No Thursday night action for either myself or mscriv – our match will be decided across Sunday and Monday. And let me tell you, the excitement is building at Meff Park.

The ticket office is reporting a bumper week of ticket sales, and it looks like our attendance record could be broken as literally dozens of fans cram into the few bits of the ground that have a valid safety certificate. Meanwhile, shadowy team owner Lord Meff has delivered a personal pep-talk to the lads, and he's inspired them to put in the performance of their lives against Team mscriv. Well, I say he's inspired them – fearing for the well-being of their families if they fail is probably more accurate. :eek:

Bring your best, mscriv – my boys are ready for you. :cool:
