It will take time to clear backlog of shipments & UPS customers may still experience delays but we expect backlog to be cleared end of week."

again - shipping in 3 days... what was the BTO part?

My base 13" model is in a UPS truck in my town, so i will get it today! YAY! :D

(Changhai, China --> Jönköping, Sweden)

Wut? När beställde du?
Jag beställde morgonen den 14:e, skickades den 17:e.
Men är enligt UPS fortfarande i Shanghai.

Antingen har inte infon uppdaterats, eller så missade min mbp flyget.

I have an OS of,
SHANGHAI, CN 04/19/2010 10:24 A.M.

Here's to hoping it makes it onto a flight on or before Sunday...
What's the timescale from Cologne to the UK guys, anyone know yet?

Tony

Why Bushiboo, why? I ordered my MBP on the day of the store update. Now mine is stuck somewhere UPS doesn't even know (double origin scan and then nothing). And when you ordered your MBP a week later it came from The Netherlands, where I'm from. Why couldn't they just send me one that was already here :( Life's no fair. Enjoy your MBP though.

I ordered mine the day of release, not a week after...13th

I'm glad to hear the shipping system is getting back to normal - finally! Leaves us with some hope:)

I called apple yesterday afternoon regarding our order status still beeing "Not yet shipped" (order placed on the 14th containing two CTO 15"). They told me they were going to look into it and finally called me back today telling me my order would ship during friday (tomorrow). So tired of the waiting.... How can they spend 6 business days customizing our MBP?

Order is still not prepared for shipping. From Norway btw.

I ordered min on the 13th, the origin scan shows that it was delivered from NL, not from Changhai. I checked the serial number of mine and it says that it was built last week (15) and then it must have been shipped with an early flight to NL...

Must be very lucky i guess...

I asked UPS to confirm what they meant by end of week, being this week or next week:

"UPS customers across Europe may still experience delays but we expect backlog to be cleared by week ending April 24th/25th."

So hopefully, we'll all have our MBPs on the way by Sunday

To be fair to them, 24/25th April is the next weekend.

If the backlog is cleared by the end of the week, then our MBP should ship before that. After all, our machines were shipped before the airspace closed.

Can any of our German friends update on the airspace situation in your country? Are there any estimates of whether or not it will be closed soon? Apparently a new cloud of ash is coming towards Denmark and it would be nice to know if it is going to affect Germany as well...

Everything seems to be operational. I don't see anything about again closing the airspace.

Tracking info is nuts

So some good news for me and the "Merge In Tnst NL Til" guys...

I just got this email from Kuehne + Nagel:
"Dear X,

good news - your MacBook will be lifted in China in the coming days and the ETA into the Apple distribution centre in NL-Waalwijk is next Tuesday, April 27th. As advised previously, the item will be merged there with the other two and shipped out via courier service which is then outside of Kuehne + Nagel's ownership.

If you need any further information, I may ask you to contact the Apple Hotline on +41 800 000750

Thank you."

This drove me crazy so I called Apple and asked about an ETA. The lovely lady told me my CTO MBP arrived in Europe and is already in the Dutch DC!!!

I hope I'll get a tracking number today and maybe my MBP tomorrow!!! I'll keep you posted.

Do you guys know if it's possible to pick it up at my local TNT if it arrives to late for delivery?

Hang on - how does "Merge In Transit" work?? what is your status in the order status on your apple store? is it still "Not Shipped yet" despite it being in a DC?

Thanks a bunch, that is excellent news! The Danish Meteorological Institute have just issued a warning than an ash cloud is approaching the west of Denmark, but so far all airspace is open here is well. I was just worried because the south of Sweden had closed theirs and apparently my MBP needs to go to Malmo in Sweden before getting to Denmark...

Actually it (MBP15"/i7/7000rpm/HR) "shipped" on the 16th and my status is "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" since Monday.
