Can anyone tell me how to find my tracking number? Do I need to contact apple to get it?

If you ordered applecare or any other item with the MBP, it will first go as a bulk shipment to the EU D.C. At this point you will be given a personal tracking number.

best thing to do is look at what date it shipped and see if you can see anyone else with any info on here, otherwise keep checking your apple order status until it changes to either TNT or UPS

Goddamnit it! I even waited until this afternoon before checking to decrease the possibility of disappointment. Still "natural disaster" for my CTO ordered on the 15th.

Actually it (MBP15"/i7/7000rpm/HR) "shipped" on the 16th and my status is "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" since Monday.

Apple told me yesterday that shipments sent on the 16th April are due at the EU DC today? And they would try and get the delivery to the UK DC and out to us tomorrow.. then she said if not Monday :D

All you can do is wait...... and wait........ and wait......

Based on some of the previous tracking data we have, i would expect that those of us who have MBPs on their way will see an arrival scan in Cologne at around 7-8pm and then a departure scan from Cologne around midnight, depending on where your package is going - very exciting :D

Yep looks like we talked to the same person :p

Do you know if it's possible to go and get it at my TNT "branch"?

I ordered my first ever MBP on the 15th, I was looking forward to this wonderfull "Apple experience" everyone is talking about...

NOT YET SHIPPED! WTF?

I think that Steve Jobs is really , as I read elsewhere, "pulling the wool over our eyes".

This is my potential first Apple experience, but is quickly turning into my last.

You really have to be a dedicated Apple worshipper fanboy to put up with this s**t.

"Not to worry" my arse. All of this, on top of the looong wait and secrecy about the Arrandale update.... I feel like I'm bending over and pulling my pants down just to own a Macbook pro. NO WAY JOSAY!

(PS: in case you haven't noticed , I'm getting pissed off)

Im sorry to say, but it is barely Apples fault that a hugeass volcano chose to go off last week which most likely created a huge backlog and storage problems in Apples assembly plant i Shanghai. I ordered my first Apple computer as well on the 13th and yes i too am sick of the waiting - but you can hardly blame Apple for all this, i am sure they are doing everything in their power to get the computers to us, have some patience and accept that some things ie. natural disasters are out of your hands as well as Apple and UPS' :)

Do you mean Apple has slowed down or stopped production because they cannot store any more MBP's?

In short I was told NO! I am sort of reluctant to say too much about what they tell me incase its not true.

But I was told that it would arrive in the EU DC at around 21.00 and on a flight over to the UK just after midnight. She told me TNT told them it will be on the van for delivery tomorrow... fingers, toes and legs crossed! Maybe Apple could slip us all an iPad for been patient but I doubt Steve Jobs is feeling less giving after loosing a 4G iphone :D

Yeah, I can agree, that Apple normally ships a lot faster. The last Mac I ordered on 7th April, arrived on 12th April. And the Apple Page was saying it would come between 15th and 16th. So really, normally they are really fast.

Responsable for this: NO doubt, that badass volcano !!

;)

It is just a computer we are waitin´ for... Imagine it would be medicine urgently to be needed.... So there´s no problem at all.. Just a little bit of patience .....

Relax dude! I'm sure once you get the delivery, all will be soon forgotten.

I think if I was placing a new order, I would rather it be delayed being shipped by Apple than being held in a hanger somewhere. I hate to think how UPS TNT throw boxes around. You should have seen the box on my 27" iMac.

Yes i think that is very much a possibility... Apple has not been able to hand over any finished products to UPS for almost a week. I ordered on the 13th and along with a few others in this thread our MBPs were the first to leave Shanghai i therefore must assume that there has been a huge backlog... And since UPS has not been able to ship them and people have not gotten shipping notifications i think a lot of products have been held up at the internal Apple warehouse. Just think about it, UPS can only accept so many packages into their system when they cant ship. I am certain that you will get a shipping notification within the next few days, possibly already today as more MBPs start to leave China.

I don't mind being patient, but really like they are a logistics company, and should have a more professional way of dealing with things like this other than slapping 'NATURAL DISASTER' on everybodys tracking page, and telling their customer support agents to give the response 'I don't know'.

As I logistics company I feel it's their professional duty to deal with situaitons like this better. There dealing with it like regional post. I want a can do attitude from these people.

Maybe orders recieved on the 17th will go out tomorrow, seems to be all the 16th today and then so on....
