Yawn, Really really bad attempt at trolling here. You going to try to link every story to apple/adobe fiasco? Get over it..

Most people that want the Ipad would prefer that it did support it flash, but even without the support, they are going to get it.

Point of this story, international users just got very disappointed. Nothing to do with flash!

He was flashed by Photoshop earlier in his life.

Hey Sarko, what do you want to be when you grow up?;)

No they wouldn't. I took a survey. 39% of people who want an iPad are happy it doesn't have flash. 41% of people who want an iPad don't know what flash is. 20% want flash. Error margin is 4%.

And how many people was that? And what was your target audience? Without some info your above statement means very little.

And of the 41% of who did not know what flash is, how would they know the impact of not having flash on the ipad?

Hey, I took a survey too.
67% think the iPad is a gadget for rich nerds.
19% think it's a fekking revolution.
14% don't give a damn. :D

No big deal this. A month is no time at all. The time between can be whiled away working out so that, when one finally arrives, you'll be able to hold the damn thing at arm's length for four hours straight.

Good job Apple : gives me time to have a look at the next iphone first and then decide which one I'll get : ipad OR new iphone.

As things were I probably would have gotten both, now I don't need to bother :p

pft import tax - if they stop you. just dont make it obvious and open it up before you leave, remove all the price tags etc did that with loads of cloths i bought...

Customs officers at Amsterdam Airport do a 100% check on inbound flights from the USA. Bingo! It is even announced in the press that they do it. I wish they would go more after counterfeit stuff or illegal immigrants instead of this....

But I thought everyone wanted Flash? Why is demand so high for a product that doesn't do Flash??

This must be eating away at Adobe like nothing else.

I think we have to wait for the initial demand of the iPad to subside before we jump to conclusions... Anywho...

# of people who didn't buy the iPad because trolls and MS creeps said it sucked in blogs, forums, and news articles : 0

Fail.

this is just bad for business, people abroad are paying steep prices because of this black market stage… with all that cash apple has they should have done a worldwide release, that would have been awesome!

Don't blame Apple, blame the grey market. I've read that iPads are already on sale in Hong Kong and Europe, while Apple is having to re-route the international stocks to keep up with the apparent US demand... to the point that I've already read of people finding the default language set to German.

Even Microsoft loyalists can't understand the point of those horrible things. Kids want what's cool. Apple gear is cool. iPhones and iPods. As usual.

That's what they might WANT but not what they GET. iPhones are crazy expensive compared to other people's phones. I mean, Nokia is releasing S40 smartphones now from €90 unlocked with wifi built in, social networking and free Ovi services that beat MobileMe!

Also, the Blackberry does well in the 15-25 market. Apparently the free Blackberry to Blackberry instant messaging is a hit for dating.

It's often not about the phone hardware but more about the services.

Turtles (or "Kins") that take 15 minutes to update and look like crap . . . not so much.

See above for why the "Kins" have missed the boat.

Not buying the demand is too high, therefore we cannot ship internationally story.

I was one of the people who got to return 4 imac 27" i7 machines, I think it was one of the worst launches for a new product for a while.

http://gizmodo.com/5463415/the-faulty-imac-saga-chapter-4-apple-buying-out-customers

And I got a good laugh from apples response

"The 27-inch iMac has been a huge hit with customers and we are working to increase supply to meet up with strong demand."
- Apple spokesperson

Acknowledging issues for apple is a huge no no! its easy to claim that demand is huge cause everyone is returning the products ;)

o2 & Vodafone to Get UK iPad

I see from the press that o2 and Vodafone in the UK will carry all models of iPad from end of May.... seems that the May was the date set by networks as well as apple...

O2 today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in the UK.

The iPad lets users browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, all using iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface. For more information about iPad please visit www.apple.com/ipad.

unbelievable! what a joke!

Blame yourself, my friend. Because of you and all the other naysayers who claimed it would be a flop, you created such a demand that the Black Market is buying them almost as fast as stores are getting them in--and selling for huge profits in Hong Kong and elsewhere.

Thanks!
