The pre launch doesn't seem to have set the world alite. Reading on palminfocenter that one poster said every store selling it was empty and had plenty of phones. Apparently this exactly what palm and spring wanted as it allows them to ' manage ' the launch properly.......
I have to say I'm surprised but as one of my friends said no matter how good it is ( and personally I don't think it's that good, certainly no iPhone killed) unless it has an apple logo on it won't sell. He said his cool teenage kids and all their freinds all have to have apple products.
Also there is the fact that perhaps people are turned off palms attacks on apple and syncing with iTunes which could easily be turned off by apple.
Ps reading at engadget that they are suggesting the small queue at the chicago store was staged !
They describe the atmosphere in the store as low key and an 80. Minute Ctivation and sales process. Sorry can't copy and paste the link as I'm typing on my iPhone....
