And thus the reason it may still be better to buy an Intel Mac and Windows 10.
That was the reason why I bought the latest Intel iMac in 2020. I will keep it, even after replacing it as my main desktop computer, just to be able to run the three Windows applications I sometimes need.
Yes the Standard edition isn't but they upped the price to $99 and is limited to just 8GB of RAM and only 4 vCPUs.
And that was the reason, why I bought VMWare Fusion for my second iMac. Parallels is more polished, but VMWare gets the Job done too, including running Windows 11. Until now I updated Parallels every year, but next year I will consider switching my other iMac to VMWare to. Have to check, but I think I can use the same license for booth iMacs.
