Ok so can you call to put it on but then take it off by calling?

I've never had an issue using the My Verizon app and turning it off and on multiple times.

Looks like they really broke it, no way to add a new line with Verizon on apple at all apparently. Or maybe it's just broken for those accounts with UDP?

The upgrade line works, and it lets me buy phone at full price.

On a side note, they also patched the glitch that enabled purchasing the legacy $5 texting plan. Now it is PAYG, $10 for 1000 or $20 for unlimited only. I guess that makes me happier I decided to get the $5 texting plan on the UDP line I opened up last week for myself.

me too... just woke up to a thread email alert, and canceled my last auth. on one of my lines... going back to bed

I'm surprised that it was there to begin with. Apple first started offering the iPhone with Verizon in February 2011, stopped officially adding new UDPs in July 2011, and stopped subsidizing upgrades on UDPs in May 2012. The iPhone 5 came out in September 2012. That means that UDPs were only ever available new for 5 months on Apple, and upgrades for another 10 months. There was never an LTE iPhone ever offered with UDP.

I wonder if for some reason when Apple set up its site for ordering the iPhone 6 if they somehow reverted to the template used for the iPhone 4. It would be very odd, given that this glitch didn't occur for the 4S, 5, or 5s/5c launches.
