I like your idea, so you are saying it would be twice as fast then or just use both modems with UDP to keep connection stable?
Wow, so they didn't really fix it, they just blocked anyone who has a NW plan from adding a new line anywhere?!![]()
What Verizon has done is blocked the ability for you to add a line to your NW FS plans anywhere but at Verizon. This was always the case for the Any Mobile plan and the Loyalty plans so they have now extended that to the NW FS plan.No go at BB.com too.

Seems Verizon is blocking NW plan altogether.
I agree with using a CradlePoint router with UML295. I purchased an MBR95+UML295 for my parents $45 UDP and set it up for them yesterday. Used about 3 gigs of data without an issue. Don't know if having two modems hooked to the 1400 would give you any benefit at all.If you need a full feature router try the mbr1400 by cradlepoint, the mbr 1200 is a great 2nd choice but I can buy 1400's for the same or less than 1200's.
I use the Pantech UML295's (USB modem) with the mbr1400's because I like the dual external antenna ports but Cradlepoint does offer their own "Modem caps" for Verizon and other carriers
The 1400 can run dual modems so for those of us with "extra" UDP lines we can put them to good use
I also use the JetPack (also by Pantech) MHS291L as a quick and easy portable hotspot and they work great

Binding two modems should give double speed.
What other places can you order new line from ? Staples?
If all you want to do is expand and strengthen your 4G LTE signal you would use a repeater. So for those with Lines used as phones & not exactly a free hotspot linesl can we wifi tether & use these modems to expand & strengthen are signal? And if so does the same rules apply on which to order?

But you have to register those with Verizon and they are expensive.
It doesn't have anything to do with location. This is the same error I get with the Any Mobile plan at apple and the same message at BB that I get with the Any Mobile plan. Verizon has blocked the ability for NW FS plans to add lines anywhere but through Verizon just as they always have for Any Mobile and Loyalty plans.Your request couldnt be processed.
Were sorry, but there was an error processing your request. Please try again later. This is off apples website and I am also getting the same error message as the other poster off best buys site. Jules what state are you in? I am in NY

You can still add a line to the NW individual plans at apple but the Unlimited iPhone option is no longer there.
This is an FCC requirement so if you don't do it, you can be fined by the FCC. In addition, if you don't register the device, it is grounds for termination of your service if Verizon catches you.Jules, why do you say you have to register this with Verizon?
I just got one of these and it doesn't work too well (my neighborhood gets crap service since we are in a canyon). This device is carrier agnostic so not sure what you mean by needing to register it with VZW.
As I said before, they have always done this with the Any Mobile and Loyalty plans and they are now just extending this to the NW FS plans. I don't think this is an error that will be fixed - I think it is a change in policy in that Verizon is no longer allowing NW FS plans to add lines through 3rd party retailers. You can still add a line if you have a NW IP you just can't add an UDP.That seems like using a sledgehammer to kill a gnat. So basically what Verizon is saying is that since they can't get their systems in order to prevent future glitches with third party retailers they are going to inconvenience everyone who wants to add a line to an old FS plan (even those not trying to find or exploit any glitches).
He wants to use his phone as a mobile hot spot to replace his home internet. You can't use an antenna on your phone. You can put your phone in one of those portable repeaters and have that connected to an antenna, but that is not practical except for in a car or something like that.If you use antena it will boost your signal and speeds.

Thats what I am saying I don't think it has anything to do with NW plans. I think the site is currently not working correctly.
I really don't think that is the case. I think apple is just having issues with the site on add a lines. I am sure if walk into cosco or walmart I would be able to do an add a line. If they truly did change this someone working at verizon would of leaked documents on this and I havent seen anything on that yet.
Anybody want to try AOLing an unlimited line from me?
amazon allows me to add a line
