I know someone wants to AOL me a spare UDP they have sitting around right? In support of opening up this wonderful thread that made everyone so much $$ and headaches. :p;)
Dude if I had one I would give you one but I AOLed my last one before I got shut down by Fraud Dept.

Had the exact same type of claim from some lowlife on Swappa... you can check icloud.com/activationlock to see if they ever setup the phone; grab some screen shots as well to show PayPal.

How do you do that? I already did a screenshot of what I'm getting and sent it in earlier. It just shows "activation lock: off This device can be activated by a new user".

It's basically the same thing then; icloud.com/activationlock checks to see if the device is icloud locked, but some ESN checkers do the same.

Thanks to Totten I was taken by an apparent common fraud.

Please everyone, do NOT sell to David Han. He apparently changes his screen name but ships to the following address:

David Han
9852 Katella Ave 230/257
Anaheim, CA 92804
United States

Again, he is a fraud, do not ship to him.

Thanks again to totten for letting me know about this.

Just a friendly PSA - me and Jdougal had the same buyer who has a long history of trying to scam sellers. If any of you sell a phone to a David Han in Anaheim CA do not ship it. He'll file a PayPal dispute claiming the ESN is bad & it's iCloud locked.
While it's easy to prove your case, it is still a hassle and it ties up money as PayPal will put a hold on the amount sold until the case is closed; which could take weeks.

There's more complaints here and here

We should concentrate on finding work around. Is there a list of places on line where we can order a phone.

Dang it... He bought one of mine. He was the one asking me to ship it sealed. Wonder if that is so it would be harder for me to prove the phone worked when he got it or something :(

Thankfully I haven't shipped yet, but will have to figure out refund w swappa tonight.

I have flagged him on my sale to swappa. What username did he use buying yours? For me it was just David H.. Go on your sales page and tell the Swappa rep to look at Swappa sale #MSJ560. You should be able to just refund him via Paypal and Swappa will relist your item for you.

He was David H on mine as well. I'm going to report him to help@swappa.com. Swappa is too good for trash like that.

Swappa has banned him, I just got notice on my sale.

You should send him an empty box, karma should come back at him.

David H. as well. Swappa proactively reached out to me and instructed me not to ship and to refund him... Good that they react to feedback like that

How his scam would work does he sand back stolen iPhones tht are iCloud locked. PayPal requires the item returned before refund will be issued

I wouldn't even waste my nice box on him.
send him an i-i-i-i-iphone

David Han's account may be taken over.
You've send an iPhone to "David Han."
When the real David Han found out. No one is getting paid, except "David Han"?

Just the shipping box with some packing material that's what people do to scammers from nigria

Yea I told the rep who commented on my alert to them that there were other sellers with active orders. Glad they went and reached out to you, and others if there are any.

Did you already ship it to him? If so, will Swappa or PayPal be able to assist to make sure that you get your money?

Yes I shipped to him several weeks ago. I am dealing with PayPal refund request, hopefully they don't ****** me. Swappa just said to keep them updated with what happens.
