AOL completed..... Took 3 times...

There is hope! ;-)

-Timj

So what happened during the three calls? I'm doing one today and any information you cab provide would be helpful. I've done it before and even set up my account with the exact same minutes and text plan as the account I'm porting the line from.

Not Tim but from what has been posted, you simply say keep the plan the same but do not call attention to the UDP.

On hofo someone claimed that customers complained and verizon backed down from no udp policy on aol.

Okay - update here - i just got off the phone with verizon and was able to successfully accept a line, with the udp intact.

I didnt say one word to the lady, just said i'd like to accept a line onto my account, gave her the number, and just waited.

She moved the device onto a provisional id for me, kept service suspended, and the line shows up on my account as unlimited.

I did not ask for, nor was the data package ever mentioned.

Anyone want to try to get rid of another one? PM me

Lol right. Claiming that it's locked and won't activate/reported stolen. Checked the IMEI and it's clean and ready to roll. Fingers crossed the buyer is just a moron.
Did you activate the phone before you shipped it?

Well have my first eBay claim, wish me luck!:mad:

Crossing fingers and wishing you good luck! To clarify, you were able to successfully AOL the unlimited data but then somehow it was removed? Any insight on what triggered the removal? Also, are you filing the IPR on behalf of the line receiver?

Admit it - how many of you are still religiously attempting to add a line through Apple even though we know the option to is, for all intents and purposes, closed? Maybe just hoping that somehow it will let you? Just for a moment?

I amuse myself a bit by imagining a scenario where, by some mysterious glitch, the ability opens up again and someone here sends up the flare - and the resulting rush would be something akin to busting open a pinata at a birthday party. :D

Correct. Just like you can't add a line to an Any Mobile or Loyalty plan even if it is not a UDP line.
I didn't know you can't add a line while loyalty plan is on account. That probably explained why when I logged into apple.com to view my saved cart only to realize the message telling me I no longer qualify for this line. I was able to save to cart when all 3 lines were 450 plan. Then I changed 2 lines to loyalty 30, a week later I logged on and get facedpalm by the message. Damn.

Hi all, long time lurker of this thread. Quick question as I'm selling the iPhones I picked up along the way... Had been removing my now de-activated and AOL'd SIM cards from my phones prior to shipping up until this point.

I have had a couple of buyers request to leave the sim in there to keep phone sealed. Is there any downside I should know about to doing that? Seems like not because I AOL'd the lines they were initially on, but hoping someone can confirm. Quick search didn't yield anything.

Julesjam... And probably others... Have been following your posts for weeks... Owe you an overdue thank you for your contributions! :)

Start complaining to verizon, apple get all you friends to complain maybe then the loophole will be reopened. Somone claimed he was told there will be udp promotion.

I like to see if the phone functions before i shipped it out. Verizon allows to reactivate used simcards, leaving them in does not cause any issues

If you used the wireless number for the 450 min line it should have worked. But no, loyalty plans never worked.

You are welcome! I wrote a post about what I did to sell sealed iPhones but it required that you change the phone number b/f you AOLed the line. Idk what would happen when you turn on the phone if the phone number that the SIM card in the device is associated with is still active.

I just chated with apple.com and all i got

Apple has informed us of any site errors, but maybe they are wring on the site! I’m sorry to hear about the problems!

I would recommend calling the telesales team in the meantime as they can lace the order for you!

RTFT, lol! He got the last UDP line ever created by ordering on the 11th and not picking up until yesterday.

----------

I gave away all of my lines except the ones I am keeping and then I got shut down by a fraud alert!!!!

----------

you are not allowed to trade lines on this thread. PM people if you want to see if they have lines available to give you.

Are you sure it is not showing you that your FS plan has used 800 texts?

I know someone wants to AOL me a spare UDP they have sitting around right? In support of opening up this wonderful thread that made everyone so much $$ and headaches. :p;)

Had the exact same type of claim from some lowlife on Swappa... you can check icloud.com/activationlock to see if they ever setup the phone; grab some screen shots as well to show PayPal.
