Anybody having any problems using this Verizon unlimited data add a line method today?
I hope I didn't wait too long to jump on this. I have an old nation wide family share plan with unlimited text and like 500 minutes on my plan. I've got 3 lines on the account: Mine is the primary with unlimited data for $29.99, the second line is my wife's with a 2gb data allotment and the third line is another line with a 2gb data allotment. I also get a 22% discount through my work on some of the features on my primary line.
Is there any reason why this wouldn't work for me? When I try to order on the apple website, I picked the type of phone I wanted and then selected Verizon. Then it asks me if I want to join family share, replace a phone on a pre-existing line or add a line to an existing account. I pick add a line, and it prompts me to enter my primary number, billing zip code and last 4 of social. The next screen asks for the billing account passcode. After I enter that, I always get an error message and it tells me it cannot retrieve my account info and to try again later.
The funny thing is, just out of curiosity I tried using the upgrade a current line feature and it can retrieve my account info just fine then. I checked my account and all of my bills are paid up in full and the next bill hasn't even generated yet.
I really want to add another unlimited data line, but frustration is setting in. Anyone have any ideas??
