First - check to see if you can even add a new line with that error on your line. Then post back. Pick an iP5c to test if you need to, doesn't have to be an iP6 to test.

I went to apple.com right now and clicked to buy the iP5c by adding a new line. After checking eligibility, it offered me to select a single line plan and on the next page I could select unlimited iphone for the data. I didn't go through with the purchase, but it appears that I would be able to add a line even though I currently have the error back on verizon's site.

I would go ahead and add the new line then as soon as an iP6 is available to you pick up in store or do an iP5s or iP5c whatever you are willing to do. Then you can activate the new iP on the new UDP line. Then activate the original iP6 on the new UDP line with the new SIM card you were sent by Verizon originally.

After that you will have a family plan with 2 UDPs and 2 iPs. Sell the second iP and sell/give away the second UDP line. PROFIT!!!!

But first you will need to involve Verizon to get the iP6 on your original UDP line, but since you now have a b/u UDP line that is not as scary.

Also, you need to add the second UDP line and activate the second iP while still w/in your return period for the first iP6.

I can't tell you all how happy I am that I will be getting a good night's sleep tonight yeah!!!!!!! Gotta get up early to get my new iP6 in time to be activated for the 2pm refresh!!!!!!

I'll try to grab your attention tomorrow, but I checked and there is no store near me with pick up available. I may try another way to get this phone activated, but will keep you posted.

There are phones available at the store near me but I'm stuck w/ this stupid add a line that I shipped to home that I can't get to activate.

Apple got the phone itself activated, but I don't have a line on Verizon yet so it isn't activating w/ Verizon...and I can't add a line until that happens.

Ugh..

Update:

I was able to get my new line activated by contacting @VZWSupport on twitter. Sent a few messages back and forth and they got me a number and activated. And I just checked on verizon and my UDP is intact!!! I have no clue what they did, said they reached out to another department...but 5 minutes later I had service.

Now to find another line to pick up in store!
 
Decent regular iPhone 6 restock tonight - best restock i've seem since release date here - except NO 64 GB restocked of course and no 6+ re-up here either.


Seriously - WhyTF didn't they just make 32/64/128GB - and charge an extra $50 up front for the low end ones - apple is so phuking stupid sometimes. (Or better yet have removable data like the rest of the world)


off topic but - And who the hell is impressed by the funking overweight denim shirt/pant guys at the ridiculous apple intro announcements - why don't they get some beautiful women and/or enthusiastic sales-type women/men to hype the shiznit out of it instead of middle aged denim-toting insiders from apple (sham-wow guy would be better)?

WTF - I now get the following trying to swap the new IP6+ to my existing main line - cannot swap existing line to new ip6+?

"We're sorry! Unfortunately, none of the lines on your account are eligible to receive the Online Authorization Code. You will not be able to add the new device to your account. Please call (800) 922-0204 or dial *611 from your mobile phone for further assistance."

Any help is appreciated!

(Full disclosure - i did best buy method by ordering off main line and just put it on line 2 with a sim associated with that line. All is goo on that line - but now it won't let me activate om

and to all you peeps getting multiple phones might want to get an ebates account. apple store qualifies for 1% back. not a lot i know but it adds up over time. been using ebates for years and its worth it when black Friday just around the corner.
 
Well, guess waking up at 4 in morning wasn't fast enough for the 6+. Now I'm going to be stuck hitting the refresh all day today.

So of course, I bite and get one from the farther away store and what happens? My store is full of iP6 this morning!!!!!!

They did it to maximize profits. They need to have a $200 on contract option for the teens/young adults/old people and easily could have made it 32GB but they know they don't have to and people will still buy it at a higher profit margin.

The 16GB iP6 has the highest profit margin on swappa, too.

(Or better yet have removable data like the rest of the world)
Then you would not pay for extra storage on the iCloud.

Has anybody had trouble adding a line on a sub account and adding a line on the main account at the same time thru apple. I know normally you can only place one order at a time, but since it's a sub account thought it might be different.

Good morning! So I experienced the same deal here. I woke up to a bunch of email from istocknow. A bunch of 64 gb came out last night. All closer to home. Go figure #

yeah, there is a problem with cancelling someone posted about it b/f it counts as an open order against you but idk for how long.

It may be a "few days..." for it to really fall off, from both your credit card and apple's system. and could trigger apple store to be an a$$.
They cancelled my next in store pick up order after i cancelled a pick up (even after I received the "we're ready for you" email). When I got to the store, regular CSR didnt know what was going on. I called vzw, which didnt know anything since the line wasnt activated. I had to finally talk to a manger, who basically said he didnt know what happened, but could just let me buy the phone in store.....

of course, it could just be me, since i'm not WASP-y

I bundled my phone and line together on swappa.... it was listed for ummm, 12 hours, then they pulled it. They do not allow sales of contract/line what-have-you.

I placed an order Saturday night this past weekend. I changed my mind and was able to cancel and reorder immediately. I think it's because it may have been a weekend and true processing on the order hadn't begun yet? Who knows but I can say I had no issues canceling and reordering.

I just checked the order history and indeed I cancelled it on the 20th before sunrise.

Haven't had any issues with the last 4 cancelation that I did. Reorder and cancel within minutes of one other online. My last one I canceled in store, and bought a phone at the store. Ordered a 6 found out they had a 6 plus. Just nervous if cancel this one it might trigger something
