RTFT :D

I just did this yesterday!!!! You are supposed to make Apple call Verizon's Core Department when you return the phone. I couldn't get the effers to do it.

So I called Verizon and had a Verizon rep do it. The Verizon rep needs to call the Verizon Core Department to push the cancellation through so you can add a new line the next day.

How do you ask for PDI ? I did ask and CSR said no since it has contract.

This is correct, exactly what had to do to port my number to my UDP line. It's about $13 dollars with tax, not bad as far as I'm concerned.

OK, I see how the porting out part works, but it is the second half of this - the porting into an existing UDP - that I don't understand. So, initiating the port from GV or Page+ to my UDP just pushes out the old tel# on my UDP line? And that won't jeopardize the UDP, then?

Have the AOL department do it when you call in the AOL.

The regular CSRs are not allowed to do it except for you to switch phones but AOL department will do it for an AOL.

If it did, do you think any of us would recommend it?

----------

Should I contact verizon now and cancel the AOL transfer? I think I have 14 days to do that.
Does anyone know if this is true? Do the recipients have 14 days to cancel the AOL transfer of the line?

I filled out the form to activate a phone & port in a number from another carrier. I chose the cheapest plan I saw, $12.00 per month for 250 minutes, 250 texts & about 500mb of data (don't recall exactly). About 4-5 hours later my number was ported out of verizon to page plus, then I ported my number to my UDP line via my account online. It only took 10 minutes or so for my number to port back to my verizon UDP line.

The account number for page plus is your phone number & the pin is the last 4 digits of your phone number.

I did it slight differently. I called to activate the page plus line and port in because it didn't work for me with the form for some reason. The way you did it sounds simpler.

has anyone said how many lines you can save on a single line nation wide plan? and do you call aol to add or will the 611 work?

It's 30 days for he recipient to do the aol. But once an aol is done I don't think it can be undone unless both agree to it or there's a really really good reason.

Call aol department. You can have 5 lines on main nationwide account t and 5 on a subaccount.

It's simple. You go to change phone number on your account & select the line you want to port the number to. Follow the instructions, it's simple.

Either way is simple. I called page plus customer service, they were easy to get to an actual person on the phone.

That worked for you? I read here and on SDs that you had to call Verizon to port back b/c the online system was broken.

No that you say that I remember I did have to call verizon customer service, my mistake. I didn't know the online service wasn't working.

About 15 minutes after I called my number was ported onto my UDP line.

OK, I found the instructions for porting back from GV to my cell number at:
here Yes, it does appear to be pretty straightforward. I don't know anything about Page+, so I likely won't venture there. Thanks.

But as u aol the lines and sell the phones u could go over the 5 lines on the main correct? Cause it would fall off the account cause their both gone?

Took one guy 9 days to port back. I would seriously consider page plus. It is a Verizon MVNO.

Yes, 3 individual plans per account, but I think you can have 3 more in a subaccount, idk. You may even be able to have a second subaccount for 3 more individual plans, idk. 10 lines total is all a non-business customer is allowed to have.

You can have 1 family share and 1 individual plan per account and subaccount, but not more than 10 lines total b/t account and subaccount.

You also can create a subaccount, move 2 of your individual plans into it and call to covert the other individual plan into a 700 minute single line family share plan in your main account if you want more lines.

what is rtft?
Read The Focking Thread, lol! Meant in jest of course.

does anyone have an extra UDP Line? I'm switching to Verizon in the next few months and I would love unlimited data :D

you can't get PMs here until you have 25 posts and you aren't allowed to trade UDP lines here.

Check ebay they are selling for 99 cents. Also check people's profiles here, I am sure the people wanting to give away lines have info in their profiles.

Or you could RTFT and figure this out without my help, lol!
