Of course now the buyer is all worried and wants to back out. Verizon has been killing me recently.
You could put the buyer's phone on the line for him and show him that is BS what the rep said. He would need to give you the IMEI and ICCID of the device and it can't currently be active on another Verizon line.
This line I wasn't both reps I talked to refused to put a PDI on it. They said the person taking over the line could do it, but I could not. Now of course the buyer wants to walk and thinks the PDI is some sort of coverup or something.

I think this is what I may start doing. Asking for the person's device info before even transferring these lines. Bypass the PDI issue, plus motivate them to call in and complete the AOL.

This is BS. I spoke with someone this morning and I did an AOL over the phone with one of my lines that did not have a device activated on it. So I <--- gave them one of the IMEI off an old phone i wasn't using and everything was fine after that. They were able to do the AOL and I got it taken off my account a moment later. So indeed you can do it. It's the rep i tell ya..

yes, it is definitely the reps - the problem people are having is that they are encountering more and more resistance from the reps that is costing them time and money (b/c time = money).
In order to avoid that it seems sensible to require the buyer give you the IMEI and ICCID of a device to activate on the line prior to the AOL. Set a time limit they have to give you the info and if they don't, you cancel the transaction with no refund on the line.

I plan to move 1 line to a subaccount with 1400 minutes family share (change to 700?) by calling Verizon and add a line via apple.com, then port the TDP line 5 phone number to pageplus which will terminate the TDP line AND then port the number back to the new UDP line.
Should I move Line 5 TDP to a subaccount and add a line to the original family plan or move for instance a UDP line like Line 2 to the subaccount and add the new UDP line to the new subaccount?
Also I plan to do pickup in store as it seems there are activation issues with ship to home. Correct? However if no stock is available, is there even the option to still do ship to home?

So I can't get my Apple UDP line to activate because of a pending activation on my account after recently using the BB method to get a Note4. I'm afraid that I will have to call to have it taken off. What should I say to them in hopes they don't recognize the fact that I never activated the sim that shipped with my Note 4?
Have people with 1400 and 2000 minute FS plans been able to add a new UDP line through apple or has it only been 700 and unlimited minute FS?

Yes, you can do that.
Check to see if you have the option to add a UDP line b/f you do the subaccount. Don't do it though as you can't have 6 lines on a FS - just check to see if the option is presented to you.
That will work.
If you only want to add 1 UDP line then it would be easiest to move the TDP line to the subaccount and add the UDP line to the main account so you don't have to merge a UDP line back into the main account from the subaccount.

You can always do ship to home, the issues is how long it will take to ship and whether the phone will activate when you get it.

What about the individual plans? I know the individual UL talk and texts with UDP have had issues, what about the 450 and 900? And what texting plans?
I am trying to advise a friend with an individual plan what to convert hers into. Currently she has an individual UL T&T with UDP and all she gets is the ME options. I think if she changes her plan at the end of her billing cycle to a 900 minute with payg text she may be able to add another individual plan.
Also, with those adding to individual plans, are you then converted to a family share or do you end up with 2 individual plans?
the 1400 has unlimited text. Tried unlimited and pay as you go and none worked on the 700
Jules I changed my plan from an individual unlimited everything to a family share 1400 and was able to add a UDP line almost immediately after getting off the phone. Before, I defaulted to the ME plans.
My niece is getting the activation server issue, please contact your carrier. I'm assuming the pending activation is the hold up. It will be next week before I can physically travel to see my family to see what the deal is. Anything I can do on my end to get rid of it?

This has nothing to do with a PA - it has everything to do with ship to home. Lots of people have had this problem. She needs to wait to closer to her estimated shipping date or see if you can get an apple engineer working on it. Search the SDs thread, this thread and the closed thread for what did and did not work for people.
She also can return the phone and you can start over and do p/u in-store. Many people cannot activate the ship to home devices.

Dude I have been flippin' iPhones for a few years now. Ever since Verizon eliminated UDP upgrades - added a basic line and flipped the iPhone to pay for it and then used the basic line to transfer UDP upgrades to.
