I agree, a remove option would be good, but I guess they want to leave them available if you ever decide to give it a try. This happened to me with Newsstand. After looking at the "dead app" on my iPad, i decided to give it a try and now I am subscribed to 5 or 6 magazines (3 of which are paid, the others are free). Pretty cool app.
Whenever I open passport and click on the "app store" button at the bottom of the first page it says "Cannot connect to iTunes." I have tried sucessfully to get into iTunes via its app, and under setting I checked to make sure my iTunes name and passowrd are in fact entered.
Any ideas? Why do I need to get into iTunes for Passport at all?
If passbook is no displaying anything when you click App Store then reset the device (hold power + home). That worked for me.
I guess I'm not getting how it (Passbook) works. I have apps (including a Starbucks card that I use) that are Passbook compatible. Yet everytime I open Passbook it just sends me to the App Store. Please help?
from the looks of it it looks like it functions this way:
1) Install an app that uses passbook (I tested with walgreens)
2) Register for something that would allow you to add a card to passbook (I just registered for the rewards card)
3) When it asks to add to passbook, choose it.
4) When you open passbook now, it has your card there getting updates from whoever created it.
It kinda stinks you need the app to use the passbook features, i was kinda hoping to just have passbook without any of the random apps. But still hopefully that will help people get started.
Also i dont see where starbucks has updated their app to support it quite yet
I still cant figure passbook out. I have a Starbucks account with the digital card and money on it and all but it doesn't show up in Passbook at all. And I see no where to go to add that. How do you add **** on this app???
I'm extremely unhappy with this update. Sucks.
